I was considering making both trips, but if I went to CIV in LA, and Celebration Europe, I wouldn't be married when I got home. HAHA!

My wife and I would love to attend both C4 conventions. We've never been to LA or Europe before, so it would be a perfect time to add in a few additional days to the 5-day C4 event for a nice bonus vacation.
However, budgetary constraints will not allow us to attend both next year. So we're just going to C4 in LA and are gonna have one hell of a great time.

Same here, Ive managed to get to LA, but ironically cant get to the con in my own country. If I did... well I suspect the wedding in Sept will be of in a big way.
I'm so buzzed, it seems ages away but I know the costume making makes time speed up.

Dude, you are cracking me up. I may be the only one who gets it, but it's still funny. I'd be interested to know what the average cost is for those coming from the UK. Anyone in the UK going to CIV and not CE?

Well we have got good Prices for the flights, £350 , about $656.
We are looking for accommodation now, as per everyone else looking to see what we can get for the cheapest price. WE were hoping to rent an apartment because we are taking a few extra days to look about (20-29 May), but there dont appear to be any to sleep 6 of us in the Downtown area.
I had already started to fight for C4 when CE was announced so I went with C4, plus I like LA and wanted to go back with my friends. I'm getting married Sept 07 and the other half thinks the money for C4 would be better spent on the wedding so even tho I'm going to C4 I think going to CE would be pushing him too far.

Well I'm from England, but live in Spain. I will be attending both C4 and CE. I decided to go to C4 ages ago, and finally booked my tickets to LA today, a really good deal £350 flying from Manchester with BMI, I need to come back to the North before going back to Spain and its the cheapest deal i could find. I also figure that i will need to see my parents in July, so might as well tie it into a few days at CE to catch up with people I meet at C4. At the moment i don't know anybody going to either. So just trying to meet some people before i go.

Yes I will this time lol however it will not be in any queues to buy stuff from the shop I was totally drained at C3.
May I ask where majority of the ukers going to be stopping for C4???
I have my hotel booked already at the holiday inn across the street.

We compromised. We got a massive apartment. Its 6 miles from the staples centre but we arent just there for the convention, we are having holiday time before it as well. It looks very nice, easy to get to the sights and we may get a car to get around any way.
