Geez, you don't turn 30 and all life stops! I'm 30 now and i'm really not much different than I was when I was 23. Age is but a state of mind, it's more fun acting like a kid forever anyway.

Hello all, I'm 34 and I'm addicted to STAR WARS. I'll be 35 the time CIV is underway. I remember having the crap scared out of me when I saw that tusken raider attack luke on the big screen. It's kinda funny, cause now I'm a tusken raider in the 501st. Go figure.

I'm in the same OFH, but my "Vader" cat is only a little over a year.

Have done some Re-organizing (of the posters) Gone through the pgs. of the thread
Found some errors (2nd/3rd time posts, missed posts Etc.)

Some who have posted w/ no age given - Woofer, AmmersVI, Ulfor-Bombaasa, Zoom_Cthooga
These figures are based on the poster's age (as of 1st pg in this thread) in the now (as of post in this thread presently) not when C4 rolls around Etc.

New calculations:
(Age total) = 2618 (divided by) 83 ppl (that have posted age up to this point) = 31.542168
Average age of Star Wars fans? = 31 yrs.

I just made 37 [Earth] years old last month. I, like a few posters in this thread, was 7 when Episode IV (now affectionately known as "A New Hope") screened in theatres. Ah, such an impressionable young lad I was at 7. No wonder I'm still a Star Wars fan 30 years later!

To answer Happy Ninja's question: I love the Prequel Trilogy. People complain that the Original Trilogy is better but Eps. I, II & III each have their own charm. I was like a kid in the cliche'd candy store when I first saw the preview for "The Phantom Menace". I saw it while I was living in Japan. And I was at a toy fair, of all places! Episode I toys EVERYWHERE! Can't remember being that excited about ANYTHING (well, except maybe Celebration 3) for ages.

And I'm old enough to remember the Kenner lightsabers that had inflatable (yes, INFLATABLE) blades. Even curiouser, the blade was a transparent YELLOW! Blowing up that saber was a pain. Keeping it inflated was even worse!

May the [Good Side of the] Force be with us all.

See you at C4!

P.S. Capt-SithPaark, I really like all your calculations! Very diligent of you!

I hit the big 50 early in April. I was 20 when I saw Star Wars in 1977. And my significant other was 24 (now 54) and took his 5 (now 35) year old son to see it.

38 here and young at heart! It's really wonderful that people of all ages love SW. When I was 13 I saw ROTJ in the theaters three times: once with my father, the second time by myself and the third with a friend. If I'd been old enough to go to the movies by myself before then, I definitely would have gone to see ANH and TESB more than once too.

On a slight side note, you've gotta love seeing the children dressed up as SW characters. The little girls with their hair done up in the famous "Leia buns". Or boys dressed up as little Yodas. You see pics of them all the time in the "Bantha Tracks" section of Insider magazine. Parents passing on their love of SW to their children. applause

It sure leaves you with a good feeling knowing that the SW legacy & fandom will be carried on in full force for generations to come. happy
