Grimby the Hutt posted: I'd say no. Some people will have one for each day - some of my friends had more than that at C3. Some people wear the same one every day, but that gets kind of icky after day 2 or 3 I think.
thats why I always bring laundry soap with me and just hand wash everything in the tub
BTW I will be comming as a dark jedi and a custom mando alternating

We are all bringing two a piece. We want to wear some comfortable clothes too, because most costuming is uncomfortable and me being 7 months pregnant at the time of the convention, comfort will be a necessessity.
But, we are going as a Jedi Family, and then the next time we are all wearing different kinds of costumes. I cant wait to see the kids all dressed up!!!

I was looking forward to dressing up and then decided not too. I still want to, but I am only going to con for about a day and a half.
Plus my wife and I went to the NY Comic con. Now, keep in mind this was her first convention. Sci Fi, horror, anything, This was her first. After about an hour of bumping into smelly 43 year old men, whining kids and anyone else standing in one spot doing nothing, we diecided not too. To get a costume made for her and for me to bring my parks sabers, boots, and the rest of my Jedi costumes, it was just too much. Jeans and a Star Wars tee shirt and going to my costume.

MarSky: I think the Tonnika sisters would be awesome! As, D-Ludicrous said, it's pretty much "anything goes."
I myself am doing two costumes this year (and keeping my fingers crossed that I will, in fact, have time to finish the second one...). One is a Chiss costume--formal/ceremonial robes. The other is a Super-Secret Surprise Costume I'm putting together as a gift to my pen-pal of the past 9 years, who I shall be meeting for the first time at C4. Alas, I can't really say anything more about it, as I know he frequents these forums, and I can't risk him finding out the details.

I'm planning on wearing my Senatorial Leia costume...otherwise, Jedi. The Jedi costume is kinda hot though so I'm leaning more towards Leia.

MomMaster posted: How do you think Star Trek costumes would be received at C4?
You'll get mixed reactions (mainly depending on how well done the costume is). Some will love it. Others will taunt you to no end.

As for dressing as background characters... go for it. Meeting some of the costumers in the smaller roles were some of my highlights from C3. But then again, I went as a Twi'lek of my own creation and had a blast

Without a doubt, seeing some of the amazing costumes that fans made for C3 was a highlight of my C3 trip. The attention to detail and level of authenticity by some fans was truly unbelievable. One of my personal favorites was the fan standing outside the Exhibit Hall entrance who was dressed up as Dengar. The costume was dead-on perfect from head to toe.
I can't wait to see what fans will have in store for CIV.

At this point i'm hoping to finish the two Jedi costumes (without robes) and at least a Leia for my daughter. I just ordered two belts online so hopefully they will work out.

I think its a fantastic idea. That is one of my costumes as well. I know of at least one other person that will be Indy. Maybe we should get an Indy group picture going. Grab the nearest kid, toss a Brooklyn Dodgers hat on him and we've got our Shortround!
Here is my updated costume list:
Stormtrooper
Jedi Knight (prequel style)
Han Solo (ANH style)
Indiana Jones
Rabid Fanboy
I may need to throw together one more costume to put on after the armor starts to become a nuisance.

Well I know it got discussed at the start of C4 being announced but it seems to have been forgotten,
I would like to know if theres been anything come from gencon as to how they are solving the costuming problem as I am sure as it stands people are not wanting to change in armour in their hotel and board the shuttle service.

Haven't read or heard anything. I'll see if Adrian can shed some light on the issue.

Hey all!
Female, Princess Leia look-a-like, 17 yrs old, (will be 18 in 4 months)and have been a SW obsessie for 10 years. Im going to Celebration IV, my first ever convention! Im really into costuming too. Im going as Leia in my custom made exact reproduction gown, so Im thrilled. Im and actress/singer as well as a 9 year piano player and dancer.
So here's a question for all those wonderful guys out there. Any of you heading out to Celebration IV? Any of you around my age? Im going alone, and I was looking for a Luke and Han to join up with. Ill take a Darth Vader too. I dont have any SW fans as into it as I am, and id love to meet some of you all. Another member on a different board and I are trying to set up a small group to meet up and have fun, so email me at AeonFlux713@aol.com if your interested!
Thx everyone!

I am going as Padme in EP II. The battle costume. My cousin is Han Solo in EP IV. I really hope that Indy IV propts Harrison Ford to attend. The suspense is killing me...I have to know if he will go. Only 43 days!!!!!!!!
