I'm confused. Are you staying at the Comfort Inn on Seventh Street or the one on Sunset Boulevard? BTW, the one on Sunset is not located where the clubs and restaurants are - that is all further west.

It is only 2 km from the convention center.
I only booked last weekend, two rooms. $96 for 1 Queen bed room and $110.95 (US $ and tax will be extra) for 2 Queen beds.
The clubs and bars are a little futher down Sunset, but we will have a car.

The hotel is half way between El Capitan Theatre (Pirates 3 opens on May 25th - I am planning on repeat screenings) and the convention center.

I just rechecked the hotel details. The travel sites say that the hotel is about 2 km away, however when I got directions from Map Quest it is 4 miles, 6 minutes away. We will have a car and even if we had to catch a cab, we would still save money and the hotel has a nice rep.

Yes, as you say, four miles. That's not bad. You're right on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles.

It was a Western Union money order, and it cost about $50 to send including postage and return receipt.

No, an international membership is available for $19.95 USD a year. You just don't get the magazine (the Insider).

Nope, it's open to everyone. There are some extras that are only available in the US and Canada, but Hyperspace itself is international.
