Does morning sickness count towards this diet. I have lost 37 pounds, so do I qualify? LOL

37 lbs from morning sickness? That's a significant amount, is there anything they can do to help you with that?? I was fortunate not to have much with my daughter, once or twice maybe.
Today I got plenty of exercise! I had to shovel the driveway, twice! I also went skiing again:) It was cold and now there is a ton of snow outside my house but that is ok, at least it is shoveled now.
Is anyone in the lose 30 for the 30th challenge on weighins.com having trouble with the site? Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, I have emailed them and hopefully things will get straightened out.
Keep up the good work everyone!!

Lost another 1.4, down 6.4 pounds now! 16 weeks to go -- I'm actually going to shoot for just a pound a week still, which will put me at about 25 pounds for CIV. If I am able to ramp it up a bit, but I'm not pushing myself unduly, I might be able to make 30. But I'll be delighted with 25, that's a GIGANTIC load off of my feet!!!
I'm following WW Flex plan to the LETTER, all one really has to concentrate on is writing down EVERYTHING you eat, even if it's a smidge or a taste of something. Also going to Curves. I can feel a difference already -- somehow I feel "taller," I know it's weird sounding.

Great job! Keep up the good work!
We are doing a "biggest loser" contest at work now, our second weigh in is on Wednesday, I hope I will have lost a few pounds. I really want to win, as there is $$ involved, and that would mean more play money for C4! Hopefully my competitiveness and desire to lose weight will keep me on the right track!

I'm so envious of you lot. Ive been going to the gym now for exactly one month 3-4 times aweek after work. Ive been watching what I eat, not a diet per say, just no snacking and eating low fat, lots of salads & veg. Ive even been forcing down museli or cereal for breakfast and eating so soon after after getting up makes me feel ill. Why am I bothering? I made the mistake of weighing my self last night , I'm 2lb heavier than when I started. I may as well take my gym fees out the bank and throw the money out the window.

Ah, don't fall into the trap of getting discouraged by the scale. It is very possible that since you are working out that the added poundage is actually muscle that is developing. By volume, Muscle is denser than fat, so you can actually be trimmer than you were and still weigh more. Keep going and eventually as you build muscle mass, the fat will melt away faster and faster. Along with being denser, a lb of muscle also burns more calories than the same amount of fat, so the more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will be burning, even at rest. Keep Going!!!

Try going by measuring points on your body instead of that darn scale. Measure your arms, waist, legs and you can see if the gym is making a difference there. I wish I had done that before I started, it would be nice to see what those results would be. Have you ever tried low carb? That can really melt the pounds away, I had a friend who wanted to lose some weight (even though I didn't think he needed to) who did the low carb diet and he lost about 30 lbs. I have done it twice before and lost quite a bit of weight both times (about 30 lb each time). Throw some protein on that salad (a can of tuna, a chicken breast) and you will be amazed how filling that is. This time i'm doing semi low carb, trying more to just keep under 1500 calories a day and cutting out sugar, bread, etc... Going to the gym is making you healthier than you would be without it, keep up the good work!

How is everyone doing? I am still behaving on my diet, over a month now without any soda and am still doing well with the exercising. I hope everyone is doing well with their diet and exercise plans! Keep up the good work and remember, a little something is better than nothing at all!

I had a plateau last week, but at least I didn't gain any! Increasing water and walking distance -- MSN has a good program on their website right now, "lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks" with a pretty simple (and well spelled out) walking plan coupled with some easy eating changes (all common-sense stuff). The 15-week mark is this week, so I'm going to get on this and see if I can shove off the 24 I still need to go. Go to MSN, and then diet/fitness, look for Martica's walking plan (or something like that). It will have lots of hits starting with "week 3," "week 4," etc. - just click on one of those and you should be able to navigate around.

Keep it up everybody! The big day is right around the corner. I am down 22lbs so far. Besides changing my eating habits, I stopped drinking sodas abt 3 weeks ago. Just water during the day, and Folgers in the morning (w/skim milk) I have also been riding an excercise bike 2x a day. 30-35 min in the morn b4 work, and 45-50 min after I get home in the evening. We can do it!!! Thank you all for being so cool. I dont post all the time, but I do read the posts abt 2x a week. Everyone seems very supportive.

Awesome! I am starting to notice a difference now with the weight loss, I have lost 21 lbs and have been doing weight training so I have also toned up a little bit. It is just a drop in the bucket though, as I have a long way to go. It feels good to be succeeding though. Keep up the good work!!

Hey guys, I'm in! I need to lose some serious weight as well. I'm 6'3 and 260 lbs. I would honestly like to be down to 200, but that could be a little tough. My problem areas are my thighs and stomach. I have quit drinking sodas, only water and lemonade for me now. Any tips for me?

I am quite proud of myself, this morning I didn't bail on the treadmill for the elliptical after twenty minutes. I actually ran 3.33 miles without stopping, which is a pretty big deal for someone like me that let myself get totally out of shape. I used to run 6 miles at a pop, so climbing out of this hole I got myself in is quite the accomplishment. I may just sign up for the five mile run instead of the 2.2 on St. Patrick's Day. I could have done five this morning, if I had the time. Diet is still going well, I have lost a total of 22 lbs since January 7th and gotten in much better shape, and I think i'm winning our Biggest Loser contest at work, I have lost 10 lbs for that in three weeks. I actually found sugar free Oregon Chai tea concentrate at the Wal Mart Supercenter which makes a great latte with Silk unsweetened soy milk, some sugar free vanilla syrup and one splenda. Tastes awesome and there are only about 50 calories the way I make it and only 4 carbs. Well that is enough ramble! This is off topic but i'm pretty excited about Anthony Daniels and Carrie Fisher appearing at C4! I hope everyone is doing well!!!
90 more days to see how much weight I can lose!!!
