I realized there wasn't really a "general purpose" thread about the Convention Center. This will help a little bit. Their official website is: Los Angeles Convention Center.
You also might be interested to know that the exhibit hall hours for C-IV are as follows:
THURSDAY, MAY 24: 12 Noon to 8 PM (for us Hyperspace types )
FRIDAY, MAY 25: 10 AM to 7 PM
SATURDAY, MAY 26: 10 AM to 7 PM
SUNDAY, MAY 27: 10 AM to 7 PM
MONDAY, MAY 28: 10 AM to 4 PM
This is way longer than at C-III, so this if fabulous.

Yeah this is great news. I think the "open hours" for everything across the board will be longer than they were for C3, given the larger expected crowd for C4. At least that is what I hope.
Should be a dandy and I simply cannot wait...

No, there is alot more to post. Such as, what are the bathrooms. Are the big enough to accomdate 5 Darth Vader's , a couple of Stormtroopers, and a Boba Fett? Are the stalls big enough for Darth Vader to relieve himself? How do you do it in a costume like that? (very carefully right?). What about the carpets? What kind are they and what is the design pattern? Is it going to clash with my outfit? I could go on and on and on, but blessedly I won't.

I thought the Exhibit Hall hours looked about the same as for C3 so I pulled my C3 Program Guide. Of course C3 was only 4 days in length but the Exhibit Hall hours were about the same. The only difference was the extra hour for fan club members.
Thursday, 4/21 = 12 Noon to 1PM (for fan club members only)then open until 8PM
Friday, 4/22 = 9AM to 10AM (for fan club members only)then open until 7PM
Saturday, 4/23 = 9AM to 10AM (for fan club members only)then open until 7PM
Sunday, 4/24 = 9AM to 10AM (for fan club members only)then open until 4PM
Most everything wrapped up around the time the Exhibit Hall closed. There were some functions which ran in the evening. The Opening Ceremonies, Fan Film Awards, and Celebration @ C3 were all scheduled in the evening. The Saga films, Fan Films, & Pop Culture rooms were all open until midnight.

There were some activities that ran into the evening, but the exhibit hall (i.e., the vendors) closed early in the evening. If that's what you're asking.

ah ok. Cause they had a party and movie screenings there up until midnight last time. I hope they do similar things this time. Also, if the store is 24 hours, won't that section in the con center remain open?

I've thought the same thing, CT. I'm assuming it will be in a location where they will have a separate outside entrance(s) to the C4 Store, while the rest of the convention center remains closed.

Not sure if this has been brought up...but I grabbed this from the GenCon site,
"The Celebration IV Store opens at 10am on Thursday, May 24th and runs 24 hours a day until 2pm Monday, May 28th."
Now if the Store opens at 10am, and the Events open up at noon...does this mean that there will 2 lines forming early on in the morning??

I'm wondering if they won't put the store in Hall B in the L.A. CC, because that is the closest SF-size to the hall that was used in Indianapolis. Hall B is in the West Hall on the ground floor, so, it's a simple matter to close off the rest of the building and just have access to that open.

What's the accessibility like at the Convention Center? I didn't see anything specific on the web site, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. How friendly is the Convention Center to wheelchairs, mobile carts or anything with wheels? Does it have ramps next to any stairs? This is also an issue for people in complicated costumes. Generally, facilities with good wheelchair access are also good for those spectacular costumes that unfortunately impair mobility and vision.
Will any shuttles between hotels and the Convention Center also accommodate wheelchairs, carts, etc?

The L.A. Convention Center complies fully with ADA and Title 24 code requirements. In fact, they just installed a new disability chair lift.
As to the shuttle buses -- that's a different issue entirely. Can't answer that one for ya.

Aaaaah, thanks for the info about the convention center. Anybody in a 3PO costume just won't be able to do stairs.
I know I've seen it discussed, but I don't know if it's been asked....will any areas be reserved at CIV for people to change costumes? This would be most helpful for people entering any contests and wearing something that they can't walk around in all day.

Do any of the Red or Blue line stops put me close to Dodger Stadium? My beloved Cubbies are in town that weekend and I would love to go if getting there and back again is not a major headache.
