I have a question:
Do they allow food and drink everywhere in the convention center? (I'm more specifically thinking about Hall K, where the 6 movie marathon is being held. I'm probably attending that) Thanks!

From GenCon Celebration Policy page located here
Food & Beverages
The Los Angeles Convention Center has the exclusive right to sell food and beverages on the convention premises. NO outside food may be brought on the premises. Should such food be discovered, the offending party may be asked to finish the food off-premise.
I think the key phrase is Should such food be discovered....

Of course the hot dog was 6 feet long....
Honestly, the on site food at C3 was fine. It was a little cheaper than ballpark food, but not as cheap or as good as you could get off site. I had a BBQ Pork Sandwich with chips one day and a soda and 2 hot dogs another. I think the dogs were like $2.50 or $3 apiece. It was basic sustanance, nothing more. I was paying for the convenience of not having to leave the Con Center. If you want to dine on something good, I'm sure you'll need to go off the grounds, but if you just want something to naw on to keep energy up, the food will probably suffice.
I'll bet they have similar stuff at the LACC. And if they have a brain in their head, they will have consessions at the marathon too.

The LACC dining web page lists quite a few different options, plus concession stands. Basic mall-type food scattered throughout the convention center.
The food at CIII wasn't any more or less than what I see at airports and the LACC looks about the same. Best plan is to have a good breakfast at the beginning of the day, get a quality item for lunch and go out for dinner. Maybe take a few snacks in your pocket or backpack.

From the event description on GenCon's registration website:
Show time starts at 9AM Wednesday, May 23rd at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and will run continuously with an approximate 1/2 hour break between each movie. Limit 1 ticket per person. Concessions available at the show.
It looks like they're planning on having food.

I wonder how they will handle the seating during the Movie Marathon, especially when there is an intermission. Will people be able to sit back down in the same seats that they were originally in? Or is it "free for all" once you leave the theater during an intermission before the next film begins?

There is a food court at the CC, it's just not very large.
There's a great little Mexican place around the corner from the Hotel Figueroa, next to the car wash .
I will be checking tomorrow to see if the Ralphs Market on 9th is going to be open by the end of May. Keep your fingers crossed.
Another alternative -- jump on the shuttle and head uptown.

I know one thing's for sure, I'm leaving my bag on my seat when I leave.

In response to a request on the Rebelscum boards, I called the L.A. convention center and found out that the center's parking lots open at 6:00 AM every day. Just an FYI.
I'm sure the private parking lots around the buildings down there are the same.

Thanks. How late are they open, and how much per day? I doubt it'll be as low as Comic-Con's $8 all-day rate.

It's $12 a day.
There is no overnight parking, but "normally" the parking lots close two hours after the events at the convention center. Now, I mentioned about the store being open 24 hours, and the guy I talked to wasn't sure how that would impact the closing hour. I'll have to check with them as it gets closer to convention time.

Is there a PDF available showing what areas of the Convention Center are for the Celebration like in the past at Indy, it made getting around much easier.

oh wow.. wouldn't that be nice if since the store will be open for 24 hours a day the parking lot would be open for 24 hours a day that would sure make a lot of people's lives a bit cheaper wonder how many spaces there are in the convention center parking lot?
