That is definetly a lon drive, you must have some stamina...lol.
Anyway, here is what I have done:
Costumes: In Process
Bages: Almost ready to ship
Hotel: Check - Holiday Inn City Centre
Aitfare: Not Yet - Waiting for Southwest to open their gates for May 20th.
Spending Money: Hells no - Credit Card here we come....earning those galactic rewards
Time spent with friends online: PRICELESS
I hope everyone is further along than me. I am having that swamped feeling and kids and being pregnant does not help!!!
Help me Obi Wan Kenobi your my only hope!!!!

We're less than 75 days away from the big week, so I figured I'd "bubble up" this thread and see where everyone is at since the holiday season. Here's my updated itinerary:
Badges: Ordered months ago
Hotel: Confirmed my reservation again at the Figueroa earlier this morning
Flights: Booked on Southwest back in February
Quick Path: Reserved the Thursday Noon - 3:00pm time slot
OPX Guest of Honor Coupons: Pre-ordered one for Daniels and two for Fisher

Currently I am: Making a list of things to pack in my suitcase & reading books & maps of SoCal. I Wouldn't want to waste precious vacation time to getting lost & planning when that could go to standing in long lines and traffic. 
Also I am: Reading online about rules & procedures for United and both airports (LAX & O'hare).
Badges: Ordered months ago.
Hotel: Confirmed my reservation at the Holiday Inn earlier this morning
Flights: Booked on United back in August.
Car Rental: Reserved an auto through National.
Quick Path: Reserved on Thursday Noon - 3:00pm time slot.
OPX Guest of Honor Coupons: Pre-ordered one for Fisher.
CUBS GAME: All-you-can eat tickets for Friday night!

Airline tickets booked 8 months ago through USAirways
Hotel booked last June at the Omni
Tickets for CIV purchased 4 seconds after they went on sale
Thursday 11:00 PM to 1:AM Fast pass store tickets ordered yesterday
Rental car booked last week
Tickets to see Wicked at the Pantages bought a month ago
Tickets to Leno taken care of last week

Costumes x4 - In Progress (ANH Han - 90% complete, Stormtrooper - 90% , Jedi Knight - 50%, Jagged Fel - 0% )
Credit Card Debt - In Progress (waiting for tax return so I can wipe the slate clean)
Hyperspace Membership - Check (expires in April, renewal In Progress)
New Saber for Jedi Knight Costume - Check (rlsa sabers clearance sale ftw!)
New DL-44 for ANH Han Costume - Not started yet
So far I'd say things are coming along nicely.

I just hope that all of the preparations will be worth it. Out of all the reservations I've booked I'm really only worried about the hotel. Worst scenario for me will be that the Holiday Inn will inform me that they've overbooked. SO MANY of my plans are tied to staying at that particular hotel. I can't imagine having to change my day-to-day CIV activities.
JediJustin, I'm thinking of using that ONE strategy of yours...the one where you reconfirm with the hotel on a regular basis. That way if the staff had to pick a few reservations to "lose" because of overbooking, they're sure not to pick the people who've called on a regular basis because the results could be ugly!

I think Justin has it right too. At an event like this anything can happen. I'm staying at the Omni. Their customer service has been nothing less that incredible every time I talk to them. They have their stuff together. I have reconfirmed a few times and they still have me. In fact, they have dropped the price twice. YAY!

Coming all the way from the East Coast, I want to make sure my hotel reservation is in order. So I keep sending the Figueroa Hotel a quick e-mail about every 4-6 weeks confirming the details of my reservation. Doing so allows me the time to make any necessary last-minute changes (such as finding another hotel) if a problem does come up with my Fig reservation.
Uno is gonna know me by name once I arrive there.

I got a new camera as well, but I'm not 100% thrilled with it. I may get another one. It takes an incredible picture, but it takes about 5 seconds for the flash to recharge.
Other than that, I am all done preping for CIV. All I have to do is wait.
