One of the Admin mods over on the RS boards verified that the C3 event schedule was released by Starwars.com 6 days prior to the con. So Friday's release of the CIV event schedule would fall right in line with that same timeframe. I don't know where everybody is getting this "2 week" thing for the C3 schedule. It did not come out that soon before the con in 2005. Gen Con is not taking any more time to release the event schedule than was done for C3. 
You know what? I stand corrected. I went back and looked at my archives that I have from C2 and things were announced 10 days ahead of time. I guess I'm just overly anxious. But can ya blame me

Friday evening? That means it'll be released after I leave for the US. Darnit, I really wanted to have a printout of the schedule before I left! 
Oh well, on the bright side - 1 day until I leave! Yay!

I'm such a nerd, I had made plans to take 1/2 day off Thursday because I wont want to work(Leaving Friday AM) Now the inticipation made me change it to a hole day off .

If they do have Star Wars hotel key cards I don't think they will be issued until almost Tuesday or Wednesday.
I went to Indianapolis 3 days before CIII and stayed at a different hotel to the one I got on the Gen Con reserved list. (no vacancy before) And did not get a SW key card until I checked in at the other hotel, the day before CIII.
I hope you do get one when you arrive I am anxious to know if these will be happening this time or not.

Does anybody else have a case of really bad Butterflys in the stomach?
I feel like Im goona be sick about every 5 min, especialy when I really start to think about the trip.

LOL - yeah I have butterflies in my stomach as well. But I would compare the feeling to when you were a child and it was only a few days away from Christmas. You knew it was right around the corner, and you just kept getting more & more anxious as the hours ticked away.

That sounds awesome. I used to think that Vegas is just not my style, but my curiosity is getting the better of me. I'd love to see the Cirque du Soliel shows there.
The Grand Canyon, I've always wanted to see up close. I've flown over it. That is one big hole.

That is where I am heading to Monday evening after CIV.
I figure I am in the region and getting out this way from the east coast is something I haven't done before.
So I figure since I am going traveling I might as well do it all on one trip.
