Not sure if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone actually can't make the convention. I think I've read a few posts from some of you. Once it's announced what merchandise they are going to have, this might be a good place to voice your requests. Some of us might be able to snag some goodies for you. I know I'd be willing.... providing your not a last minute newb. =)
It's just a though. I was thinking as the dates get closer some of us may want to exchange cell numbers. Might be a good idea to have access to one another while we're out there. You never know what could happen. =/

Well we did have a pretty sucessful thread titled "Hi! Who are you?" but it was aclosed. So maybe this can replace it. Since the store will be opened for 120 hours straight, I don't think it will be hard to get something extra for someone.

Might also be a good idea to have some numbers in case of an emergency. You know, someone might get stranded etc... If no one's interested, that's cool.

I guess I'm in this catagory, I can't make this celebration, its too far away and I don't have any money, and I have to take care of my dad, he has alzheimers diease, i hope everyone has a great time there.

Sorry to hear about your Dad... but kudos to you for taking care of him. As the date gets close let us know if there's anything you'd like from the con. I'm sure someone (or myself) would be glad to pick something up for you.

I am unable to go now  This was going to be my frist convention since im finally old enough to go alone. Except, I didnt count on not finding a job in time to save up.

There's more and more of a chance that I won't be there, either. More and more of my friends don't want to go, or can't.

Hi! I'm in the same boat too, unfortunately. I had this "plan" for going out west to my first one, but this little "house building" project went so far over its anticipated budget, it wiped out that plan of mine for going. So, I'll have to settle for second hand stories and hope for next time! So, now I'm a "grumpy jedi" too! LOL!

Maybe you could find someone who's getting the same auto's and they can pick up a few for you.

I know a lot of people are really determined to get a bunch and if they are already there, they wouldn't mind getting one for you. If you are interested, just start a new thread about it. I'm sure you will get plenty of offers.

I cannot go this year either. Mainly because of the money. I did not have the greatest time at C2. Though I was hoping that C-4, if closer to New York would have been the turning point. I did not get to C-3 due to work.
I wonder if anyone ever thought to have a charity thread. So those who are a few $$ short can go Celebration. And it would be a give back situation.
Example: You are given $200(for the sake of argument) to help with the hotel room money. And you live in New York City. Next year a person from Montana is going to a Convention in New York City and needs a place to stay, or a couple of bucks for an autograph(or whatever). Then the person who was helped with C-4 will put in to help the person from Montana. A PAY-IT-FORWARD type thing. I know it sounds foolish. But then again so did the guy who said "Star Wars toys are not going to make any money. You can have to rights. George."
