Yeah, I'm out too. I can't giove anybody money to go to a Star Wars convention. I'm also not letting anyone stay with me while there is a convention in town.

I think it's a great idea. Let me work all week long, pay my tithes, my mortgage, my car payment, my gas & electric, cell phone, home phone, water, sewer, property taxes, home owners insurance, 401K contribution, stocks, food, car insurance, home equity line, credit card bills and then give what's left to some derelict who lives in his Mom's basement who can't afford to spend $10 for Kenny Bakers autograph.

Our FF in Indiana has 16 regular members and only 4 of us are making it. I myself just got the green light to go this past Tuesday. I know a LOT of people that just cant aford the trip and hotel cost alone.
I just hope CV is back in Indy.

Looks like it for me. I WANT to go soo bad, but the only way I'm going now is if that blasted grant check gets here by mid-May.
And I live in SoCal. How twisted is that?

Unless a miracle happens, I'm not going. (durned grant check takes too long!) What makes matters worse, my alternate plans will only work if i have some cash, which I don't.
Anyone know of any free, stay-at-home activities I can do to take me mind off of all that fun I could be having?

There is always Opus Con in Denver. Many of the RMFF'ers who can't make C-IV are going there. I'm still on the fence. Not sure.

I know this may not be the best advise but... Get /use a credit card and treat your self!
I mean its a once in a life time trip for most people.
I am talking some cash but most of my trip is getting the CC treatment . I have not did anything this crazy and fun since.....well CIII. Its not everyday you can go to LA ( at least for 80% of the pop)and hang with thousands of SW fans is it? Just GO!
