I spent six weeks on Hollywood Boulevard, just down the block from the El Cap, was there at all hours of the day and night. The street will be packed with people going to the movie, lots of them in costume. The media will probably be out, too. Jimmy Kimmel's show tapes just upstairs. Don't worry about wearing your badge while you're out and about there.
It'll be OK to wear it downtown, too. Lots of people wear badges downtown. People think they're work badges because they don't get closer enough to find out any differently.

I have a question about seat numbering sequences, since so many of you have posted your seat assignments, and I've never been there before.
There are four of us going and I ordered via phone. The guy set me up with Front Balcony Left, Row CC, Seats 1, 3, 5, and 7. He said not to be concerned about the seats being numbered every other one. He said all four seats are side by side and together. Can anyone here comment on this?
It seems odd compared to all the others who posted here, who are listing sequential numbers.
Thanks for any guidance.

While I have never been to the ElCapitan, I am going on Tuesday and have seats in the center balcony. From what you were told, I would bet that the left balcony section is numbered odd and the right balcony section is numbered even.

For those of you going to the mid-night show, since you can't take the subway back to LA, drive your car to the El Capitan in the AFTERNOON, park it and take the subway back to the convention center.
Then take the subway back to the El Capitan before your show starts. When it lets out you jump in your car and drive back to your hotel.
