Has anyone seen the C4 Gentle Giant Exlcusive mini bust? The 30th Anniversary of Star Wars and we get an expanded universe video game character.
Way to go Gentle Giant.

But if they done one of the main charecters from the OT everyone would complain that they are just doing re sculpts when there are lots they have not done yet. So GG cant win

I see your point, Woppo, but, hmmmmmm.... think they could have come up with something a little more relevant to the movie(s) -- which is what the 30th Anniversary is all about.

At least I won't have to have anxiety about waiting in line to hopefully get one this time around. I could have thought of lots of different characters from the OT that Gentle Giant hasn't used already. How about the Death Star Gunner, Rancor Keeper or Ice Cream Maker Guy? At least all three of those characters had a combined screen time of 3.8 seconds.

For the 30th Anniversary, I think they should've made Luke in his farmboy outfit, with his hat on, and his electrobinoculars in his hands or something. Better yet, a bust of BOTH Luke and Leia as they are about to swing across the Death Star chasm! D'oh!

Looks like GG will be releasing another exclusive mini bust in addition to Darth Malak at CIV:

I've been thinking about this recently: GG is releasing a new Princess Leia Organa mini bust and a Jawa 2-pack mini bust later on this year.
Why wouldn't they assign one (or both) of those mini busts as their CIV exclusive(s) instead? They could have then released the Darth Malak and Commander Gree mini busts as regular non-exclusive editions. That would have made way more sense from a 30th anniversary commemorative standpoint and gotten fans more excited about their CIV exclusives.
Strange that GG decided to release them in the order that they did if you ask me...

In regards to Darth Malak, most of the GG collectors I know are annoyed that many of the mini busts that would be in high demand are made as extremely limited exclusives. The Leia has an edition size of 6000, which is way too many for an exclusive. Mara Jade had just 2000 and the Blackhole Stormtrooper just 1000. Compare that to the 15,000 Clone Troopers they made which also sold out.
An exclusive should be something that would only have a limited demand. For instance, I think the Roron Corrob animated maquette would have been a good choice for an exclusive. It's part of a series, but it's a very minor character.
Another option might have been an out-of-character bust, someone wearing a Celebration IV or Star Wars 30th Anniversary t-shirt.
