Rare signers for Celebration IV

I have decided after much deliberation to get back into Star Wars autograph collecting and the 30 year anniversary is probably the perfect time as any to do so! Just wondering what everyone feels about new signers from the supporting casts appearing at Celebration IV. I found this site from the UK that books these guests for conventions http://www.convention-guests.com
It markets itself as for the rare autographs as everyones got Prowse, Baker and all the usual crew already on the CIV invite list. I would like a few autographs from that site, I wouldnt mind the bounty hunters and the naboo military for my action figures and the stormtroopers to sign my trooper helmet! Whats everyone else feel about these guests?

I'm a little disappointed. I never thought the autographs of people like Paul Blake a Jawa and a Gammorean guard were worth paying for.

I agree with you, if your one of the many that like the rare characters autos, at least meet us halfway and give us someone that actually had his real face onscreen!!

I guess im a weird one, I would rather have the autograph of most of the smaller charecters, than the more bigger named stars. They are way more appreciative of it and plus usually much nicer. Plus its the smaller charecters that make a movie special.

I mentioned this in the CE autograph discussion, but for me there's a big difference between a minor character and a guy that was stormtrooper nr 5 in a scene. I like the smaller characters, but I wouldn't pay for one who was just part of a group shot and nothing else.

Hear hear, my point exactly and I thoroughly agree, there are a couple of people already on the CIV guestlist who are guilty of being just masked crowd people and the rest are pretty much major cast, like chalk and cheese and they are still regular signers for years!!
Each of us really need to email Official Pix seperately and ask for NEW minor characters that we can actually SEE in the movie INDIVIDUALLY and preferably FACIALLY that havnt been guests in the US yet. At the moment what a lot of the forums are questioning is that the current guest list doesnt really cater for everyone, most of the US public already have these autos and we need fresh blood so to speak.
I emailed Official Pix about this 2 weeks ago and havnt got a reply. Maybe anyone else that emails them can update this thread if they have better luck than me and receive a reply. Its info@officialpix.com

And how do you quantify who should be added to the OPX guest list as a "NEW" minor character? There are plenty of non-masked secondary characters in the OT and PT that lots of fans wouldn't pay for their autograph, regardless if they have ever appeared in the US or UK for a signing session or not. In fact, there are characters who will be attending CIV that some fans here will not stand in line for an autograph (me being one of them). Just because they are "un-masked" does not necessarily make their autographs more appealing to get.
It's a subjective/personal preference thing, deciding on who's autograph you want/don't want. There are only so many "main" characters to go around, so OPX has to "fill in the blanks" with secondary characters to round out the guest list.

I completely agree, like you im just saying I want to draw the line, theres already a handful on the Official Pix guest list I would never wait around to speak to let alone buy an autograph from! But A lot of collectors are completists.
I did post a few of my suggestions in the 'Who do you want to see at Celebration IV most' thread that i picked out from the minor cast site www.convention-guests.com, I know someone else posted the Australian equivalent for the Prequels but I cant recall the link.
My suggestions; As far as I know they are new to the US but point out if im wrong
