Any amount you're comfy with. We've had donations ranging from $5-50. VIPship will be granted with in 3-5 days of the end of CIV and last probably 2 weeks. I haven't made a work schedule yet, because we haven't gotten enough details on the actual con schedule to make it work it, but I will very soon anyway.
Thanks for all the support, both with working and the cash for the banner and supplies!!

Ok, I got a 3'x8' banner ordered for $96 plus tax! I should have it on Tuesday evening/Wednesday  I also ordered a thousand business cards for the FF table. Spend $166.59 total for the banner and cards.
This pretty much wipes out what we've collected for the table. So if you/your chapter hasn't donated anything please consider it! I still want to make a photobook of sorts to have at the table and a book listing all the chapters and contact info. Also, we will have a lap top available to us so if we can afford net access we can put up one of those maps for people to "sign" on the web. (I forget what they're called).
EDIT: Frappr maps, that's what I'm thinking of.

There is no chapter around the Youngstown, Ohio area, so unfortunately I am not part of a unit. However, I would love to donate a few bucks to the cause, so how can I go about doing that.
Also, how can I get a chapter in my area. I would absolutley love that, brings out the inner nerd in me!!!

Amidala, they are taking donations through PayPal. The e-mail address to use is:
stlouisfanforce@gmail.com
In the Send Money tab, enter the amount you're donating, and hit the "Service/Other" button.
After you hit "Continue," write a message with your user name. Then hit send, and you're done!
For your other question, the process is simple: All you need to start a fanforce chapter in your area is three people who are willing to form the group. You will need to have three meetings, and elect a Chapter Representative. For further info send a PM to your Midwest RSA, jedi_runya, and she'll answer your questions!

Jedi Trace and I are volunteering for some time at the table, together if possible. She's shy...  An hour or so a day, maybe two.

Yep, another double post
I'm starting to make the work lists and master phone list for the table. I know most of you are waiting for a schedule, but time's getting short. So, if you are interested in working the table PM me your real name and cell phone number so I can add you to the phone list (in exchange I will send you my cell number and real name, only fair  ). The list will be kept at the table all weekend so we can get ahold of each other if we need to (if someone hasn't shown up for their shift or maybe you want to swap etc). I will trust everyone not to abuse it. If you are absolutely against your name and number being left at the table, I will honor your wishes and only list it on my master list, but I still need it. Sound resonable?
Expect to see the schedules up tonight.

There is no set thing. Basically just tell them what FF/JC and TFN is about and why you enjoy coming here. Each persons experiences here are unique and I think the personal touch will draw people in better than a rehersed speech. Still, I can write up a few things about FF, a FAQ if you will, if that will help

Keep on me to remember to sign up... I want to try and get one of the times immediatly before or after you and hothie so we can at least be sure to cross paths that way!
WHY don't they release the schedule?!?

OK, I cleared it w/ the Mrs... go ahead and put Gandalfbmg and GsWookie (and the padawan) down for the 5PM-6PM time slot for Sunday. (we'll be ready to get off our feet for a while by thin I think).

Soon as the convention schedule is released, i'm signing up. i'm also making extra blank nametags to hand out at the table and i'm making copies of my Epic Dose Star Wars mp3 collection to hand out to random people who come up and say hi.. . I might even bring my portable DVD player to play my C3 video that I made last year on a constant loop.
