Authors Attending C4?

Does anyone know of any authors attending? I have been able to find that Aaron Allston and Karen Traviss will be there, and I know Timithy Zahn will not, because he will be in Columbus, Ohio that weekend.But that is all I've been able to come up with so far. anyone else know of any others?Or how to find out? Trying to find out about,Matt Stover,Troy Denning, James Luceno,Gregory Keyes,Drew Karpyshyn.Thanks

Nobody's got any info about those authors, unfortunately. Drew was just out here in October, so it's a slim chance for him (unless he combines it with a visit to C-IV for his KOTOR game). The Random House newsletter isn't talking either, unfortunately. Just another case of "wait and see."

Good post, Grog. I am actually very interested to see what SW authors show up at CIV as well. To me, the authors carry just as much weight & appeal (even more so for some authors) as the artists.
I'm really hoping some of the more notable authors will be appearing at CIV.

I got my Heir to the Empire autographed by Timothy Zahn and my Episode 3 Novelization autographed by Matthew Stover at C3. I'm hoping they're back again so I can bring a couple different books this time.

Yeah, same here! I'm more interested in the authors than I am in the guy who played stormtrooper #71.  I'm definitely bringing some of my well-loved copies of SW books to be autographed.

I love videotaping their panels and I hope it's not a problem for C4. I taped the NJO multi-author panel in C2 and Zahn's Survivor's Quest panel for C3, and they were both great. If you get there early enough before they begin, the authors are all really friendly and easy to talk to.

I live in Indiana and have attended talks and book signings in Indiana for James Luceno, Timothy Zahn, Steven Barnes and Aaron Allston, with James Luceno being the first one I attended and Aaron Allston being the most recent one I attended.
I've gotten, at the very least, the book signed that they were there for with each of them, and more books than that with at least some of them and also got my Mara Jade and Admiral Thrawn action figures and a STAR WARS HEIR TO THE EMPIRE Micro-Machines toy set that comes in a box made to look like the novel signed by Timothy Zahn.
Also, with each, I have gotten my picture taken with them and I was able to film the talk with at least Timothy Zahn, Steven Barnes and Aaron Allston.
All four authors were really great to listen to and to meet. They are all incredibly talented authors and were really cool and really friendly. 
And I've been notified that Karen Traviss will be in Indiana to meet on May 31, 2007 with special guest Tom Hodges. Me and my wife will be back home after STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV in time to attend and I definitely plan on doing so.
STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV is getting closer!

Sorry as I said earlier Tim Zahn will not be at CIV. He will be here http://marcon.org/detail.php?myear=42 That weekend. When I saw him in Kentucky in FEB. for his Allegience signing he said he would have gone to CIV, but had already contracted to be At MARCON.

I had spoke with Kevin J Anderson and Rebecca Moeseta they will be on Tour promoting the new Dune Serries Books, and will not be at Celebration IV.
I wish they would be there they wrote some great star wars stories.
wich is a great set of books if you like his writing and like Dune should check them out.

Whenever I think of Aaron Allston I'm reminded of this awesome pic my friend Mike got (w/ Aaron and Tim Zahn) at the 2004 Star Wars Fan Film Awards at Comic-Con Int'l:
The "thumbs up/thumbs down" thing was their idea.
Will there be official announcements about writers attending, like there have been with Art Show participants and celebrity signers, or will it be a "we'll have to find out on our own" kinda thing? (Which is fun to do, don't get me wrong!)

I have read every one of her Star Wars books. The Jedi Apprentice Series, Jedi Quest, Boba Fett & Last of the Jedi. They are great books. I feel silly reading them sometimes because they are considered kids books, but they are so good. I have all of the special editions as well.
We'll have to keep an eye out for her doing any kind of book signing.

Me, too. They're the best -- consistent theme and characterization. You can never go wrong with a Jude Watson book.
I have lots of signed books, and may have one of hers that's signed. I'm rearranging my book wall at the moment, will have to look for it the next time I go down to the new house. To make this C-IV related, I've got to pull my new Allstons out so that I can bring them up to be signed.
