I actually made the mistake a few years ago of selling all my Jude Watson books online. About 6 months went by and I had to hunt them all back down....for more money of course. It was worth it though. I missed them too much. The stories are very consistant. From the first to the last.

All of her books are better than most of the adult novels (Crystal Star, Children of the Jedi, ect...). I am hoping for Traviss, Luceno, Watson, and Stover. I got Allston at CII, but that was in a paperback of Rebel Dream and want my Betrayal signed by him. At CIII I got Zahn's, but my wife got runner up in 501st contest and got the honorary member Zahn card and wants to get it signed.

Man I am so glad to know that so many other love her books too. I would like to get one of the books autographed, but there are so many now. I think my favorite is when Tahl, Qui Gons girl, died. i forget the title. That was an intense book. Hopefully she will be there. I also want to get Shadows of the Empire signed too. Still my all time favorite Star Wars book.

count me in as a Jude Watson fan - Love the Last of the Jedi series. Actually helped me get over the loss of Star Wars movies. Obi Wan and how he was dealing with his losses in the first one was prime also Death on Naboo and Padme's grandmother...... great stuff.
Hopefully she'll be in LA so we can tell her that she rings lots of bells.

I've never read any of her books, but from the way they're being described in this thread, I think I might.

OK, for those of you who can somehow get yourselves to Katonah, New York (only 50 miles from NYC) -- I have news for you!
An Evening With Jude Watson on Friday, May 11 at the Katonah Village Library, Katonah, New York. And in honor of SW's 30th, they are showing the movies in May. Bring your books to sign!

J.W. Rinzler will be doing a signing here in the Bay Area on May 5. I've been anticipating his book, The Making of Star Wars for quite some time now. I'm hoping he also signs his making of ROTS books as well. But I'll ask him if he's going to CIV.

I want that book and I was hoping they'd be selling it at C4 and he'd be there to sign it. Be sure to post what you find out.

So Aaron Allston is a for sure... that's great news. Love his books, especially his X-Wing entries.

Katonah's really 50 miles outside of Manhattan? Wow, I never realized it was that far.
Allston is good, but the one I most want to see is Stover. I have him quoted in my sig for a reason...
And kadingo, if you're going to be in NY also, maybe we can meet up here and consume libations before meeting up over there and consuming further libations (I mean libations in service of the gods, of course).

Apparently, Steven Barnes and Michael Reaves will be at an event the Monday before C4 in Santa Monica. So maybe they'll be in the area during the weekend, or even at C4?
Michael Reaves *is* co-writing the DEATH STAR novel due out later this year...
Anywhere, here's the item I found elsewhere on the boards here...
Monday, May 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Celebrate Star Wars’ 30th Anniversary at the Santa Monica Public Library, MLK Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Star Wars authors Steven Barnes (The Cestus Deception) and Michael Reaves (Darth Maul: Shadow Warrior) will be on hand to talk about working within the Star Wars universe, and we’ll also have members of the 501st Legion on hand to pose for photos, a few door prizes, a book sale and signing, and more as plans take shape. I’m hoping it’ll be a fun, informal gathering for Star Wars fans a few days before Celebration IV. The program is free and all ages are welcome, seating in the Auditorium is first come, first served.

After attending a signing with him, J.W. Rinzler said he will be at CIV! I managed to get the HC versions of his books, The Making of Star Wars, The Art of ROTS, The Making of ROTS, and Creating The Worlds of Star Wars: 365 Days all signed. That's 20 lbs less of stuff to bring to CIV.

I got my signed softcover from Book Passage yesterday . I'm taking the hardcover to C-IV so he can sign that.
And I'm going to that Santa Monica booksigning, so I'll see what they say.
