Sebulba-X, WhoJedi, and the Indy Knights did a great job of putting together a great party for all of use to socialize at for C3. Is anything like that happening for C4? Anyone putting this in the works?

How so? People paid like $30 a head to get in last time and it went over really well. Or is the cost difference between here and indy that much different?

More like $50 per person at a downtown hotel. And the more convenient ones didn't have adequate space that wasn't already rented, unfortunately.

Yeah, it was a disappointment, but one that I knew was coming. And I didn't think people would like the costs at a "no-host" bar, either. When you factor in the bar and catering mininums -- somebody would have been taking a bath, financially. And I didn't want it to be me....

In a word, no.
There are lots of restaurants downtown (from cheap like Denny's to more upscale), though. Not many that can take a big gathering, however.
We've gone round and round on this on the social thread and other places, and haven't come up with a good solution. Plus, no one can agree on a date and time -- probably because the schedule hasn't come out yet.

Oh, there's all kinds of hotel bars. Any of the downtown hotels on the room block list will have someplace to get together. There just isn't anything short of a hotel banquet room that would accomodate numbers like we had at C-III for an organized event. Drink costs are kinda high too, though -- $8 for a beer and that kind of thing.
