Absolute blast, and we can't wait to do it at CV. Though now we know to have 4 people, regardless of how recently we met them.

I couldn't agree with you more. Our team (11 parsecs) was formed by four people who had never met each other before in person. We met in this forum and the one at rebelscum and agreed to do the run together, and we had lots of fun!

Hands down, this was the event I enjoyed the most at CIV, and I hope we get a chance to do it again!

We would have done better too (we finished 6th at the Knight level) if it hadn't been for suDooku. While I was trying to figure out which numbers went where, my fiance and partner was listing all of the names that contained six letters. Naturally, the only six-letter name she missed was the right answer. We finally figured out she'd missed a name when none of the possible letter combinations for the first two letters fit any of the six-letter names (we didn't know we didn't have to unscramble the letters at that point). After we figured out she'd missed a six-letter name, we were off and running again very soon. The team that finished 3rd was stuck at that clue too though and even offered to exchange information with us. We went through all of the subsequent clues pretty quickly so if we hadn't gotten stuck on the suDooku puzzle (mostly because we missed a six-letter name), I think we would've finished a few places higher. Oh well, though. It was still a lot of fun.

It wasn't the Sudoku that we had problems with (I like Sudoku grin ). It was the Mustafar Math that did in any chances we had of placing. Somehow we missed that it was a Jumble as well as a math problem so we couldn't make sense of the letters and kept thinking the numbers or math must be wrong. sad frustrated I really think the questions for the math were hard enough without making it a Jumble too. Other than that I think we did pretty well and we had a lot of fun. happy

Hey jawajames...

I saw that Dan Hamman has a website set up that has the SD race as well as the Kessel Run with a statement that clues for all 3 levels will be posted on the site. Any idea when this will be done? I ran the Kessel Run (had a blast by the way!) but would like to see all the clues the were given to the 3 different divisions. Would greatly appreciate any info as my wife and I are putting together a CIV scrapbook and would like to add these to it. Thanks!

I can offer a distorted picture of the Padawan level SuDooku sheet. (I thought I got pics of both, but sadly, no.) Gotta say, I didn't envy anyone while handing those out...

Also, the Fan Club Lounge might be a good place for a secondary 'help' station, being on the other side of the convention center from the Fan hall. That is, if Dan would allow such a thing, being a Sith. wink

And I gotta ask... how did y'all get internet access in the Fan Hall?

I subscribed, $12.99 for one day internet access in all the convention center. Gotta say, best thirteen bucks I ever spent! We owe our third place finish to that wireless grin

Same thing here. I paid for a net connection for Sat-Mon for everyone at the FF table to be able to use.

I still think it would have been worth it to rent the connection out to Kessel Run teams. Internet is a godsend in trivia games - it's the only thing that's kept me from getting my arse whooped so far in the CT Trivia Contest here. tongue

Sadly my wife and I missed out on this cool event. Sure sounds like it was one hell of a fun time.

We won't be missing it for C5, that's for sure. wink

Thanks Dunc for the image of the clue. Anyone else got anything?

We saved all of the Jedi Knight level clues, but of course, they all have our writing on them. If you really want them, I can scan them and post them. Just let me know. Depending on how much work it is, I might even be able to edit our all or most of our writing.

The suDooku puzzle for the Jedi Knights was a full 9x9 Sudoku puzzle. Fortunately, you didn't have to solve the whole thing to figure out where to get your next clue since that was the first Sudoku puzzle either my fiance or I attempted to solve. I did solve the rest of it after we got home just for fun, but it's easier when there's no added pressure of running a race.

OK. I won't have time to do it tonight, but I'll try to remember to do it sometime over the weekend. I should have some free time to do it then.
