Is anyone else going to/or been to the Master Replica party? If so, do you know if this is a costumed event or if costumes are frowned upon unless you're 501st?

Not only have they announced a time and location, but they've reached capacity. I'm on the wait list because I hadn't joined the Collector's Society until just this week.
The event is Sunday night at Jim Henson Studios. Costuming is encouraged.

Yeah. A few of us in my local fanforce got our tickets today. That why I was wondering, I have never been to one before. They set out tickets to people who sent an rsvp on the first day that you could rsvp and then randomly selected names after that.
So anyone know what to wear to this thing?

At the party they had at C3 no one I saw was in costume, the 501st came in with a couple of guys who had a fight with the MR force fx sabers, but they were the only costumes I saw that night.

I'm going to second Larame's question - so what do we wear? LOL! Was it jeans and cool shirts, business casual, anything Star Wars, etc? I'm in the 501st, but don't want to be sweating under my Snowtrooper helmet while there's munchies to be had  .

Well, in San Diego it was on the rooftop of a hotel, so most people wore nice shorts or jeans, with what you might wear at a club, if that helps. But this is going to be at the Jim Henson Studios, so I would say no shorts or sandals/sneakers. That's just me.
Usually, for costumes, they'll ask people beforehand to volunteer, for a sketch or lightsaber battle, or for atmosphere to mingle and take pictures, etc.. But other than that, no costumes.

I was at the MR party at CIII and I wore a Jedi costume, as did my friends. We were there almost the whole time! I'm not going this time though as I have a conflict.

Be careful about volunteering. MR has a habit of making promises they can't keep. I volunteered at last year's Comic-Con MR Party and helped our C-3PO. Not only was there no dressing room (which was promised), there was no reserved parking (as promised so I had to pay $20 to park in the lot next door), or food/drink (as promised). I think I got a coupon for 1 bottle of water. We couldn't get Rion's 3PO outfit on because we were in an "alleyway" with no light.
And to top it off, some party crashers walked off with "goodies bags" full of cool stuff and no one even noticed since they weren't checking membership cards at the sign-in.
Sorry about the grousing, but this is only one of a couple of bad volunteering incidents with MR (not the mention the fact that they threatened to get some SD FanForce members thrown out of Comic-Con because someone stopped to take their pictures in front of the MR booth and they happened to be holding Park sabers  ).
