I think you can still register for CIV. GenCon will always take your money. I think that you have missed the deadline for having your badge mailed to you, so you would have to pick it up there. At worst, you could always buy your badge at the door, but that's a little more expensive and there will be a line. (Where won't there be a line?)
I have heard that taxis in LA are $$$, but there are shuttles to/from the various hotels and the airport. GenCon has coupons for both SuperShuttle and XPress Shuttle.

April 30th I believe was the last day to order badges online. The GenCon site now says this when you attempt to purchase badges online. Badges and tickets for Star Wars Celebration IV
will be sold on-site at the show,
starting Wednesday May 23 at 12 noon PDT.
so from here on out you have to wait till you get there to get your badge if you don't have it already. At least that is what the GenCon site says.

For those coming in by train into Union Station, it's a short cab ride to your hotel (assuming you're staying in one of the block hotels).

Wilderness_Comedian posted: I think the attendence will be down simply because there's really no new SW news on the horizon other than the video game. The new Clone Wars series and TV show are too far off.
Attendence at C III was huge because of ROTS.
I am unhappy with the amount of non-SW stuff announced. I like Family Guy and all, but when your pinning your SW convention on Family Guy and Robot Chicken, there is a disconnect somewhere. I know they are doing SW themed episodes, but using that criteria, we should also have the writers from "Friends", "That 70's Show", and "Code Name: Kids Next Door" since they have had SW things in their shows. It is a slippery slope. I guess at CV we will have all Adult Swim panels and nothing about SW, except for the name on the convention. If ticket sales are down, this is a big reason. Sure it is not a movie year, but the programing so far isn't that great.

I was against going all the way to LA for C4 but now I am excited I am going there rather than Indi.
There's a lot more to visit as a tourist! (just in case not much going on of interest at C4)
The weather is sure to be nicer than in Indi. I am from PA and winter is holding on for so long!
Pgh. was high on the pollution list too!

They don't announce ticket sales until after the event -- at least, that's the way it wad done for C-III.

Is this Star Wars C IV, or Comic Con light? The ILM guests are cool, and the guest list seems nice. But there are a lot of fan made film panels which I don't get at all. I'm glad they didn't pull that crap at C III. Most fan docus I've seen are crap, and not worth the time.
