I ended up with other plans. I booked this right after the rooms became available. I don't need the room any longer. Apparently it can be transferred into someone else’s name. PM me if interested and I’ll look into the process.

This room is still available if anyone knows of anyone that needs a room. It's in the block with the free shuttle service to LACC.

Hope no one minds.. I wanted to bump this to page one in case anyone is still looking for a room that is already secured. Hal is a friend of mind and I know this room is ready to go, just needs to be transfered into someone's name.. pass the word around if you know of anyone that needs a room.

Anyone know how to go about transferring a room reservation into someone else’s name? I can't really find information about it. Communications with Gen-Con is few and far between.

You will need to call the hotel directly. Sometimes the reservations personnel can be tricky, they may not want to take your name off of it, you will have to see how it goes. If they start to give you a bad time, just add the new person's name to the reservation. Whoever shows up with the credit card to claim the reservation will be the one the hotel is interested in  .
