oh but what's a vacation without second degree sunburns and heatstroke?
(note to self - pack the following: hat, two pairs of sunglasses, mega bottle of spf 50 sweatproof, waterproof, rubproof sunblock, and giant water bottle)

From what I have seen on Google this week it has been about 90 degrees. That's perfect! Of course for Cali folks who aren't use to 105 degree 90% humidity, it probably seems hot 
But this is also coming from someone who wears long sleeve shirts year round...

With weather like this, something tells me we won't be seeing many fans in Chewbacca or Sand People costumes like we did at C3.

But the convention is indoors! I won't have to worry about that much, except my walk from the hotel to the con, but I don't plan to venture away from the convention center often.

its been extreamly hot this week in my part of Los Angeles but that could change by the time the convention comes around. think loose fitting attire when coming to the convention because it could be a hot one

Depends on if its done right. I stayed cool in death valley thanks to a jedi robe.

Probably worth noting that usually L.A. is a dry heat, not a humid one. And that for the L.A. area, there may be some air quality issues from fires now as well. Right now the smoke from one fire just outside downtown seems to be going north though... but never know where the next fire will be. Though most things that can burn are pretty far from downtown.

Living here on Long Island in NY, we've gotten used to dealing with extremely muggy and humid weather. Our 80 degree humid days feel more like 95 degree days with all the moisture in the air, and it becomes almost unbearable at night during the summer.
I can easily deal with dry 90 degree weather days in Los Angeles. To us NY-ers, it'll feel like a nice Spring day.

Hey, heat's better than snow.
And the air quality's really poor right now because of the huge fire at Griffith Park.  It hopefully should be better in a few weeks.
