CORGI or MR itsefl. EIther way pulling the booth from CIV at the last moment just seems childish to me. It's like a kid who isn't allowed candy so it throws a fit.

I move onto the Sideshow line and wait there for someone to take my money

Agree, march 08 is when they are unable to sell anymore SW items...darn near a year out and a week out from cIV they pull their table. Just says alot to me about their attitude.

Amen!!! One would think they would be there to thank the fans for all of their support. Their products are not cheap and many fans have sunk tons of money into the company. They also still have new SW products coming out this year, so why pull out now? I guess that this is how they want to show their gratitude by giving SW fans this one last parting gift on the 30th birthday. Happy birthday!!!!!

In slight fairness they are still throwing the CS party. I havn't heard about the Force FX sabre trials.

AS I'm taking part in neither it really doesn't bother me but had the party been cancelled I think that would have been very rude toward the fans.

I heard on the Force-Cast this morning that the saber trials are a no go for the public now. They are taking place at the MR party.

Fine by me. Master Replicas can take their football and go home. I hope a new company makes a technology similar to ForceFX and blows them out of the water.

Removable blades, anyone?

Those companies are out there already making damn fine custom ones > MR ones. Hopefully one of them will get the offical licence so they can make replicas in addtion to their fine custom ones.

From what I understand, Ultrasabers makes damn fine conversion kits to turn MR FFX into removable blade LED sabers. Their custom products are fine too. I don't know if they have the production capacity to start turning out collectibles like MR though.

I am blaming LFL in this matter. Big surprise right? HAHA!
Seriously, MR has done an awesome job with Star Wars replicas, but at the of the day, Corgi has to do their best to make their company as profitable as it can be. They don't care about people being Star Wars fans. They have no alliegence to us. They need to make as much moola as they can and if they can't agree on a contract, it's time to move on. Honestly, what else can they make they will be new and exciting? They have basically made almost every Star Wars prop.

Its tough to read some of these comments when so many don't know the whole story.

What little I can say is..

Master Replicas IS Corgi, Corgi is Master Replicas. Corgi didn't buy out MR, they merged. The CEO of Master Replicas, Michael Cookson is now the CEO of Corgi. All the same people that fought to bring everyone the replicas they wanted are still there and they did fight as much as they could to retain the license, but in the end the deal that was asked of MR was ridiculous. The crew at MR are all big Star Wars fans and it hurt them more than any of us to know that they couldn't continue making replicas of SW products.
I'm friends with some of the folks at MR and talking with them you could tell how sad they all were and how powerless they felt to do anything about it.

All I have to say is that in 2002 I started being a collector of Master Replicas and as it stands now in 2007, I have a second family with Master Replicas as they are great people to hang out with who all love Star Wars.

Thank The Maker for you Amy, Keith, Travis, Bryan, Joey for doing your best to keep the Force with us.
