Hi, I wanted let everyone know I can no longer attened CIV, instead of making arrangments for one of the best times in my life, I have to make funeral arrangments for my Mom who passed away last night. I never used these forums in the past and I missed out on a lot, but this time I was more prepared than ever thanks to all of you, it had been a great ride. I think I will miss the art show a great deal I had reserved 3 prints and may have bought more. I was about to check-out all the event decriptions when I received the terrible news.
I'm sorry about sharing this news with you but these past months have been wonderful, this will be my only memory of CIV. Please all, have a great time and don't complain about the little things like standing in line, I would give anything to do that now. Tomorrow isn't promised live life to the fullest.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I don't know what to say, but if there are any of the prints or anything you want picked up and shipped to you post it on here. We can do our best to help you out during this time for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

jaklits, I'm so sorry for your loss! You are right, tomorrow is not promised which is why I believe and trust in God so much!
I wondered myself about what if something should happen before CIV. My parents are aged and I've been praying that nothing happens before (or when I'm at CIV!)
I'll pray for you and your family even though I have no idea who you are!

My mother passed barely two weeks after C3, it was a very difficult time to be away as she had already taken a turn for the worse, but she insisted I go anyway. Definitely no regrets, and I'll be raising a glass to her at the convention.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. My father passed away in April of last year so I know first hand how it feels to lose a parent. My sister and I had planned on attending CIV for over a year but the loss of our father in addition to other financial hardships made the trip impossible for us. My heart goes out to you and your family.

My family and I express our deepest sorrow for you at this time. My husband and I know how difficult it is to loose a parent and it is not an easy thing to get over. If you need any help please do not hesitate to PM me.
