I am assuming that the Sat night Carrie Fisher thing is a one-hour version of her one-woman play. That's why I signed up for it. I could be wrong - the advertising was not clear at all about it. But it will presumably have a minimum of line with reserved tickets. I like live performances, I read one of Fisher's books and she's funny.

That would be so awesome. I just happened to be lucky enough to catch the news bit about the show within an hour of it being posted, and bought my ticket right away. In fact, Carrie was the clincher for me to finally decide to make this trip (I'm a student on the East coast... not much money)... she's been a huge inspiration to me for reasons that have nothing to do with Star Wars, and getting the chance to meet her, even if only for a second while she signs my book, was too good to pass up. She's probably the only celebrity left on this Earth that I'd care enough to actually try to see in person. The only thing that I had kept thinking was, "Wouldn't it be awesome if her play was still running, too...."
Well, I don't want to get my hopes too high, but it sure would be great.

As an aside, I'd be very surprised if George didn't stop in briefly. Although, at CIII, I heard from a few groups of fans that they actually had trouble filling the auditorium for the early show with him and had to pull a few people as they walked by. It was a very cold, very rainy morning. I guess most people must have figured it was too inhospitable to wait in what everyone assumed would be a ridiculous pre-dawn line to *maybe* see him for 20 minutes. Not sure how true that was (maybe just a rumor), but in hindsight it was both plausible and hilarious.

I waited in line and saw him, and it was great. It wasn't just Lucas. It was his kids and Rick McCallum during it, too. It was fantastic.
