If someone doesnt mind letting me know, the closer it gets to friday morning, how the lines look to buy passes I would appreciate it. I plan on driving down to LA around friday morning to buy 2 passes for Sat-Sun, but I need to be at the airport by 2pm to pick up someone. If anyone could give me a heads up on how long it looks like it will take to grab the passes and get out it would help alot. I know people had to wait a while at CIII but Im hoping that they have worked out some kinks so I dont have to show up at 9am just to get passes for the next day.
Thx for the help,
Jog

Picked up my passes last night, and the lines were all but non-existent in Celebration terms. Ten minutes to get my Officialpix coupons, no wait for my badge, and there were no lines around the corner at the on-site purchase area. I expect that'll change today and tomorrow as people get off work and do exactly as you're planning to do. I'll try to check in later today, provided I'm not in line for the store past midnight!

There were long lines to get in at noon but they seemed to move pretty quickly. I didn't see the will call lines though.

I had no problem at will call around 10:30 this morning. No line to speak of.

What horrors do I face if I were to bring my daughter with me to pick up tickets on-site say Friday, or Saturday evening? Is it still worth dropping in by that point?

I would imagine the closer to closing time of will call the lighter the line would be.

Today there didn't seem to be much in the way of purchase lines once the event was underway. Before that, I can't say, since I was outside in line to get in. A man and his son in line behind me, however, said that the lines to buy one-day badges for Friday were only a few people deep. Will-call lines seemed non-existent throughout. Sorry for being so late with this, the hunt for food after the Opening Ceremonies was a little harrowing. Good luck and hope everyone has loads of fun this weekend!

I concur with MoKitty. There have been hardly any lines to speak of except the Friday Carrie Fisher panel and Hasbro booth at the beginning of the day. The C4 store has been great. I got through in 20 minutes on Thursday and 5 minutes on Friday.

Even Carrie Fisher was fine, because people who hadn'st stood in line were coming in well into the program. There is a large capacity, especially for anything on the COncourse Stage or Celebration Hall. Unless you're desperate to sit up front, don't worry too much about the lines. The only lines of any substance I could see other than Carrie were for the Star Wars in 30 Minutes show, and I don't think anyone who has wanted to go had any problem getting in.
As for the line for the Opening Ceremonies- that was a nightmare, as you'll read elsewhere on this board, and on the Celebration IV blog. I was one of the "evacuees," and it is my opinion that we are either being lied to by TPTB or that GenCon, the LA Convention Center, and the LAPD and LAFD are all absolutely inept. Their way of handling an "emergency" situation could have gotten people killed if Star Wars fans weren't generally polite people.
