Last night? I haven't read anything about it. SW.com blog doesn't even mention it.

I figured the lines would be far too long, so I didn't even try.

Carrie Fisher was great... even my non-fan girlfriend liked it. We got to see her tattoo, hear about how she and Harrison were drunk on the set of cloud city, and she even did her famous "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi" speech at the end.

The whole thing was really laid back and she shared a lot of stories I hadn't heard before and expanded on some I had. The "no underwear in space" story never gets old!

I had been weary to buy the tickets when they were released, but now am very happy I did. happy

We went to the afternoon show...it was pretty good. The only part I was not to happy with was when a fan stood up asked her to read their script. I mean to use the Con as a springboard to get something read was wrong, she was not there to be hassled. I mean it was poor taste on the fans side.

Other than that, Carrie cracked us up with her Nyquil story and her "Best Buns in the Galaxy" speech. I loved her, she was great!!!

A Big plus was not having to pay that $15, this show was free!!!

I also went to the afternoon show. It was nice, and I think she showed a great deal of patience with that (occasionally) crying child (I was sitting immediately behind the baby and his/her mom). I could only attend the one day (friday), but had a blast.

Yeah, my wife and I went to the night show. It was great. Well worth the $15 ticket.

I saw both. Carrie was in fine form: she handled potentially awkward moments with skill and grace and her wit was sharp as ever.
Most of what came out of it was stories you could find in other interviews with her, if you were looking. I hadn't known which was the "drunk" scene (during filming of ESB, she and Harrison got into an interesting situation with some rock stars and Tunisian liquor that they couldn't sleep off, and as a result were still drunk during filming the next day), it turns out it was the arrival at Cloud City. Suddenly that grin as she goes off frame has a new meaning.

There were three bits of "new news" that she let out in the evening show after a fan asked about her non-SW work. She's planning to re-open her one-woman show in San Francisco at some point, she's working on a new book, and has adapted her last book (she didn't call it by name, but that would be The Best Awful) for HBO, starring Meg Ryan. Someone else will have to independently confirm that last bit, because looking back on it, I have a bit of "please pinch me, that must have been a dream"... I am a big fan of her books.

In all, both were well worth the wait in line, and in the case of the latter the money. It was great seeing her looking so healthy and happy, and great fun to hear some of her stories direct from the source.

Enjoyed the Conversation show, though it was probably shorter than the one she did for free.

You mean "Who would win a fight? Kirk or Han Solo?" (Yes, He DID ask that question, and he was resplendent in his Trek uniform to boot) rolling_eyes

However, Carrie's response was priceless...

That show was amazing! Even though I pre-bought tickets I still waited 2 hours in line to get a good seat. One of the great highlights was her getting inducted in the 501st.

I was also VERY thrilled to get to meet her in person! I had her sign my Adam Hughes print. Here's a couple pix I got. The second one I am on the left. Would have liked to have gotten a pic with her but I'll take what I can get given the circumstances those days of chaos. I saw the second day they didn't really even allow photography at all (so a sign said). I feel bad for whoever waited 5 hours. sad Hope you guys got one who waited.

I had a wonderful time at the whole con. WOW! I so would have regretted not going.

My dad and I attended both of her talks. I thought the one on Saturday was more interesting as she had more things to tell. She was very funny, entertaining and definitely well worth seeing!

I don't regret putting down the 15 for the evening show at all. It was wonderful... she even sang part of the life day song... and the story about how she was paid with the Holiday Special, Priceless!

I enjoyed it alot. She was funny and I enjoyed her stories even though I had heard some of them before. Well worth the 15 bucks.
