So I saw there was an article on the TFN main page about her not being formally invited to CIV and that she would have loved to join the celebrations....
I highly doubt she would have came. I have always read she isn't exactly keen on the whole Star Wars thing. I guess damned if you do and damned if you don't. She didn't go to the other 3, did she?

If she was that keen to go she could have had her people call ages ago ro just showed up. I saw Lou Fegoura (spelling?) and Breckin Meyer wondering around.

It would've been great to have seen her there .
But I totally agree. Where was our "Queen" during CI-CIII? I'm sure actor's/actresses' are faced with scheduling conflicts all the time, but heck, if she wanted to come, she could've bought a pass like the rest of us.  j/k...
I do remember watching a video during C2 where actors posted a message talking about how they couldn't make it to the Celebration. During Portman's message, she chuckled and told the fans to "Remember that it is just a movie". I guess in a way she is right...but then again, I highly doubt that "Beautiful Girls" nor "Where the heart is" will be holding a convention to celebrate it's 30th anniversary.

The "quote" she gave says that "being the queen" she thought she would have been invited. She was the queen in one movie 8 years ago (filmed 12 years ago) and since then she's been, oh, I don't know, senator, Anakin's lover, mother of Luke and Leia? It just seems like a weird thing for someone who went through the entire PT to say. I doubt it's real.

I would have loved to see Natalie! I find it odd that she wouldn't be asked to attend C4 even though she didn't come to C1-3. She was a main character after all. Is the quote from a reliable source?

While she wasn't at any celebrations, she did a surprise meet and greet with star wars fans at comic-con 2 years ago, when she was at comic-con to promote V for Vendetta. basically SW fans who were hanging around the Star Wars pavilion were given a numbered ticket and told to come at a certain time, without any idea of what was going to happen. at the time, natalie portman was brought to the booth, and in a little room, each ticketed person got the chance to get a photo with a head-shaved natalie portman.

If this story is true, she should have been invited. Lots of the celebrities who were at C4 have stated that they are not/were not Star Wars fans. Maybe if she came she would realize that it isn't "just a movie."

And the area wasn't wheelchair-accessable. I have a friend who had a ticket but couldn't get in because of her wheelchair.
By the way, that story screams fake to me. "I'm their queen?" Does anyone who's heard Natalie speak or read an interview think she'd say something that corny?

I think she should've been invited.
But...if they didn't invite her it's probably because of her reputation about not being that enthusiastic at all about Star Wars.

Actress Natalie Portman's publicist has fired back at reports the actress is upset she wasn't invited to attend the 30th anniversary celebrations of Star Wars in Los Angeles. I love how people have to add little tidbits like this...even if she had been invited...as if she still wasnt but Portman is above that to be upset...why not when correcting the comment say she had been invited but couldnt make it or just leave it at she would not have been able to attend?
