*Is so tired of all the complaining - Celebration is what you make it*

I hobbled around on a twisted ankle for most of the weekend - as usual, Official Pix ROCKED!

Laughed my *** off with the ewoks, met up with a LOT of fellow TFN freinds - breakfast with fellow Fan ficcers, talked art with some of the artist - Good grief, I spent 99% of my time in the fan hall and the dealers room just taking it all in...

Spent most of my budget on food, but ate well (not a lot of junk food) talked to a LOT of people, saw tonnes of amazing costumes... Stayed in the funkiest hotel that I'm sure is actually a worm hole to Corellia, crashed a Sony party.... can't wait to do it all again!!

I don't pay attention to the complainers.... that I had a great time, got a tremendous gift for being on a panel, spent two days with Anthony Daniels, met a lot of wonderful new people and saw all my "old" SW friends is all that matters to me.

This was my first con that I stayed the entire time and costumed at and I had a blast. I wish the shuttle service was a little more consistent, but overall it wasn't that bad. As far as the convention, everything was great. I enjoyed seeing the panels and meeting new people. Official Pix did a very good job I thought even though I had to wait until Saturday for my group to be called for Carrie Fisher.

Not on complaining, but I will be a bit possitive,C4 had probably the best star wars costumes ever, as I said, the kids had a blast and I got off on seeing alot off the stuff, over all, 75% good 25% horrible, but I really shouldnt complaine, just dissapointed in how L.A. handled the entire thing, hell, they couldnt even orginize a street parad for the 501, but oiver all, It was fun, and as I said before, I woudnt trade the experience fore anything, mostly dissapointed in how L.A. handled this thing, has nothin to do with the people, just the city.

I had fun at C III. Didn't attend C IV, because it was in L.A. But, I enjoyed C III. I think nearly everyone was in costume there.

Why is it 'L.A.'s' fault now? Signage and SPACE at the LACC was great, personnel and line control wonderful (and in fact lines were mostly fast and/or nonexistent on the busiest day, Sat). It's not the city's fault that the hotels are where they have been for decades, as is the case with every city, or that the new grocery store didn't happen to be scheduled to open just for CIV attendees' convenience. People complain about the shuttles, the price of taxi's, cars, parking, etc, but there's a a Metro station right across the street which gives you access to just about anywhere for $3 a day.

I had a great time too and would love to attend another Celebration! Just being in the midst of all those serious, even rabid, SW fans was so awesome. I loved every minute. Next time I'll arrive a few days earlier to get the sightseeing out of the way and plan some healthier meals.

I had a great time. I live in Indiana and I had a better time at CIV then CII or III.
Everybody I spoke too or ask If I could have a picture were very kind. All of the staff were very nice to me when ever I had a question or concern. The dealers in the dealer room were very courteous and kind even when they turn down my offer price for stuff. I just feel it was way better then past celebrations even though the airport personnel were rude, and mean and the convention food was OVER PRICED!!!!!
The fact that there was next to nothing downtown to eat with out spending $20 per person was my only complaint. Back to the airport employees...As I was leaving Sunday to come home , one LAX baggage check lady said as I was walking away..." I'll be glad when all the silly star wars fans get out of town. Im sick of seeing them." I thought to myself.. we are bringing millions to this town lady so shut the ****!

I could look at each and every Celebration and pick out what I didn't like about each one-but for me, the Pros definitely outweigh the Cons.
(Plus I enjoy focusing on the good things anyways...)
It was good to see new faces signing autographs, along with the old reliables. happy Meeting Grey Delisle and Debbie Carrington was an absolute treat. Meeting fellow fans from the boards and Myspace was also a highlight for me. Being able to walk into the CIV store and make a purchase without waiting in line was awesome! But the greatest joy was taking my 4 year old son, Jacen, to his first Celebration and watching him soak it all in and basically react the same way to SW as I did when I was his age. He loved the R2 builders room and was very upset when we left, even though we spent a good 30-45 minutes in there. He enjoyed seeing all the costumes and armor walking around and we paid several visits to the Lego booth as well. Regardless of where the next one will be, we will be there again!

Don't take it personally.

The airport employees are idiots.

I Had a GRAND TIME at C4! Let's do it again! happy

I did, despite many problems I complained about in other threads, overall I had a great time!

Where else will you find so many dedicated SW fans in one place? I met people from all over the world, got to discuss costuming without being looked at as some kind of freak, dress in Jedi robes, etc.

Counting the days until the next Celebration!

Martha

I had a much better time at CIV than I did at CIII. I was much more prepared and less stressed out. I got to all the panels that I really wanted to see, and got to all the book/comic signings that I wanted to go to.

I had fun! There are definitely some pros and cons to both Indy and Los Angeles. There were things I missed from Indy (having everything close by, feeling more like Star Wars was truly takin' over the town, etc.) but I loved that the LACC had so much room, and that the weather was great. Of course just a personal plus was that I didn't have to travel and I was already really familiar with the area.

I had fun meeting everyone and hanging out. This was a wonderful convention and I'm glad to have been able to attend with so many other fans. happy

I had a great time. It was a little confusing finding activities and I wish I could've seen more Star Wars actors but other than that it was fun.

This was the first Celebration I have attended. I can't express how much fun I had. Some of the lines sucked but I thought it was generally well organized. One of the things I liked the most about it was just running into celebrities out on the floor of the convention center. I ran into and talked to Steven Sansweet and he was nice enough to give me a photograph. I saw David Prowse in the art area. Amy Allen was all over the place. I talked to Dave Filoni as well. Where else can you do that?
