The best part of it was that everyone thought that he was deliberately making a joke of it when he was seriously answering the question as he thought it was asked.

I remember during the Lucas panel some guy asked Lucas what his favorite lightsaber color was. I think he said, "Purple."

In the Family Guy presentation on Saturday Afternoon a guy asked Seth

"Q. Of the three voices you do on family guy; Peter, Quagmire (spelling) and Stewie. Which is your favourite?"

To which his reply was

"Brian"

I was there for that one. What about the guy that ask a question that no one on the panel even understood what he was talking about. It was the guy that Seth ask he thought he was the only one drinking today.

Oh yeah, he was asking something like where they got their ideas to not do the expected in a scene where the audience knows what they are expecting but then what they expected doesnt happen.

He asked it like 4 or 5 times and nobody knew what he was asking. i still dont know what the guy was asking.

Oh, man, nothing beats Trek cons -- there's always the "I just wanted to say that I love you guys and love Star Trek!" idiot. Duh. We KNOW you love Star Trek, we're all AT a STAR TREK CONVENTION, moron. Sigh. Must...strangle...fool...

Actually though I loathe Creation with a passion, I do give them respect for their blurb on all their convention websites, basically a paragraph giving the obvious statement above, along with "Don't be a jerk, ask dumb questions, give gifts on-stage, ask for autographs on-stage, try to deliver your script and/or make idiotic statements that waste time." Finally. All conventions should have that, including CV and onward.

Kids asking questions, that's one thing. Adults who should know better, that's something else.

We had multiple of these in every panel. It just got so annoying.

Stupid questions is what made the LotF panel so disappointing. Most of the questions were on things that anyone could have known was out of bounds, and wasted time. I know that Karen was disappointed that there weren't more questions on the wider areas that could have been asked, rather than variations on the "What happens next?" questions.

I was sort of amused by the Jag/Jaina couple even though there was really no question in what she said.

I also liked the person who asked what the authors' favorite ships were. Denning said he liked the StealthX. grin

I personally gave a silent cheer for the guy who asked where the non-heterosexuals were. For a company based in San Francisco headed by a self-proclaimed liberal, the Lucasfilm people can really be chickens***.

You know, if it was done for any other reason I'd be cheering too, but it was asked purely to confirm a rumour/spoiler that's floating around. I've probably already stepped over the line on what can be said on the topic, but I'll be happy to either discuss it privately with someone that is "spoiled" or later this month publically, including some insight from at least one of the authors.

From what I hear, in KoToR, you can play a female character and hit on the female Jedi/former Sith (Jumani is her name I think). So there's a non hetero relationship...

At the "Thirty Years of SW Publishing/Continuity" panel, one guy said that it was mentioned in one book that a particular planet possessed 150 individual elements. He then asked if Lucasfilm had a periodic table for the entire SW galaxy, and would it ever be printed.

I don't know if you guys heard it up front, but there was a bit of a collective sigh that went up from us in the audience at that one.

At the Indy panel Saturday afternoon, there was a little kid that came up and asked something along the lines of "How did you get the people to do that?" Literally, that vague. After about 5 minutes of back and forth trying to figure out what the heck the kid was asking, they realized he was asking how the did the Nazi face melting. Something that they had explained in depth for like 10 minutes at the beginning of the panel rolling_eyes

It's good to know kids these days still pay attention...
