I too was bummed that it was all over. After the Matt Wood panel I walked out of the room thinking, "Oh my gosh... I gotta be back at my hotel in 2 hours to get ready for my flight this evening!" Where the time went. I was truly sad to turn my back for the last time at CIV around 2:30pm. The days were long, but the convention was short. I would love the chance at a C5.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be home, but that place was a haven for 5 days of my life and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Same here. sad I had an amazing time getting to meet everyone, including some people I'd e-known for years but never met before. I want to go back already. Anyone going to go to Celebration Europe too so we can do it all again? tongue

A "Star Wars City"? That would be incredible! I don't know if I could live there, but if I was offered a job there I just might!

The only available jobs will be for people walking around in stormtrooper armor controlling crowds. tongue

Actually the best job in a Star Wars city would be running the Diner, for sure you'd meet everyone that way happy

But I digress...

Oh to be rich...

Wouldn't that be great to go to Celebration Europe as well as CIV? (*runs down to the 7-11 to buy lottery tickets*)

Despite the subpar food and pain in my feet, I'm already feeling a bit sad that CIV has passed on. I may have taken more than a thousand pics this convention, but it still feels like I need more time since I haven't gotten enough photos. Oh well, at least I had a very good time as well as an unique experience. Now if I could only sort out my pics, photoshop them as necessary, and then have them posted.....

I hear you on that one! CIII was my first SW convention, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

About the feet hurting thing, I wore New Balance running shoes. My feet never ached. The rest of my body, however, is a different story...carring around so much stuff and all!

I'm definitely going though the withdrawal! Last night we finally made it in to Baton Rouge around 6:30 and after making sure that everything was ok in my suitcases (they were in the rain for a bit in Dallas during transfer angry - but everything important was ok) I passed out around 11:30pm and didn't get up until almost 2pm the next day shock . Plus, I'm already missing all of the people I met at the Fig and the convention - how long until C5?!?! whistling

Steve Sansweet was saying they are thinking about doing these conventions around every two years when he was in the Fan Club lounge. He said that they could wait 3 years for the 30th anniversary of ESB, but there will be so many things coming out in the next couple of years, like the Clone Wars Cartoon and the Live Action TV Series, that it would still be appropriate for the convention to be in 2009 rather than 2010 for the 30th anniversary of ESB.

Here's hoping that it'll be every two years! Three years is just too long.

Glad I was there and now I'm glad to be home. I have no post-con depression as with other SW events of the past...don't know what that says about C4 but I have no big complaints.
