Why couldn't he come to CIV? I thought maybe he was just too big a star!

I would hardly call Hayden Christensen a "star". Other than Star Wars he's really only done two other relatively well known movies in Life As A House and Shattered Glass. And I would say that even those would be stretching it as far as his "star power" is concerned. He was at C2 and seemed to be a bit weirded out by the fans to be honest. The stupid questions at his panel seemed to get to him a bit. Then he did that via satelite thing for C3. I do remember him and his brother walking around the C2 floor in yellow volunteer shirts and stormtrooper helmets. When people figured out who they were, he was quickly ushered away by security.

Precisely, he's not that big of a star that he should not have come! I think they at least should have done "that sattelite thing"!

He also was at a few panels and did Q&A. While he didn't sign autographs, I don't see how it can be said that this is his first Con appearance.

I was very disappointed that neither Hayden nor Mark Hamill made it for C4. Hayden also lives in LA(as most actors do) and Mark lives in CA(I know it's a big state but not that far). If Tem Morrison and Daniel Logan can get here from New Zealand(where they both still have primary residence), I think that the actors that portrayed the Skywalker men could have made us fans a little happy. Even McCallum is going to Celebration Europe, I thought CIV was in LA to be convenient for LFL and actors to appear. Apparently not

That's also what I thought! I also heard that George Lucas was going to do special things for the fans the days before the con. We scheduled to go early because of this. I mean come on, I can watch DVDs of the movies in my home town!

LukeSkiewalker - IMO (by saying his FIRST CONVENTION APPEARANCE EVER!) they are Marketing/Hyping on the fact that at this Con in Toronto (his home town) he will be actually signing - full Con duties so-to-speak
princessleia911 - As all of the other celebs who are in the Prgm. were present/involved/signing Etc., McCallum is also listed/shown in the C4 Prgm. but wasn't to be found anywhere?

I guess that was spoken from a certain point of view - I don't seem to remember any related 'SW' events in the Los Angeles area just prior to C4?

Hmm, why are the calling it his first convention appearance? Despite he's been to San Diego Comic Con 2004 talking during the show talking about his ROTS project.
Well, I guess it's meaning person to person appearance where fans can actually get to meet him in person.

Hayden was at CII before that. And he did a call in thing at C III. I think he was also at another comic con before the ROTS DVD came out.
