JediJustin posted: I thought I had read somewhere (and I could very well be wrong, so please correct me if I am) that the unsold CIV art prints were going to be destroyed after the con.
Can anybody shed some light on this?
As I mentioned above, I was able to buy one of the STAR WARS posters Tom Hodges created for STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV from Tom Hodges on May 31rst at a talk/instruction/signing he and Karen Traviss and Matt Busch did in Carmel, Indiana. He brought 5 of them with him and offered them for sale.
If I saw correctly, the STAR WARS poster Malcolm Tween created for STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV sold out at STAR WARS CELEBRATION IV.

JediJustin - Not sure of the Art prints but I do know that any Official Pix CIV photos are destroyed (ripped/shredded) after the Con is done (listen to the TF.N podcast (post Con) for a listen in as Daniel Logan helps out)
My Damage:
Alvin's 'Bright Center' poster
CIV Program
I Ordered the Ltd. Ed. Deluxe-Auto. version of Lorne Peterson's 'Sculpting A Galaxy' (can't wait to get this)
The Trade Edition of 'The Art of Ralph McQuarrie' (w/ bookplate)
Autographs from: (paid for) Anthony Forrest, Garrick Hagon, Harrison Ellenshaw, Richard LeParliamentier, Jeremy Bulloch -- (not paid for) Gary Kurtz, Robert Watts, Phil Tippett, John Berg, Tsuneo Sanda & J.W Rinzler
Several older various 'SW' magazines/books
3po/R2 McQuarrie Sig. series figure
Jeremy Bulloch's book 'Flying Solo' which he signs (comes also w/ his signed 501st member card)
a sheet of the 15 US Postal Stamp choices
Official Pix Ltd. Ed. Con exclusive B&W set of 30 photos (never seen some of these images before)
Cartamundi Proof Sheets/Tube & 30th anniv. 'ANH' set
CIV Con-cover 'SW' Insider
Wanted the pin but no luck
I'll have to get the 'SW' 30th shirt I wanted from SW.shop as they were all out of my size by the time I got there (Hmm, actually ..scratch that .... after having just read JediJustin's post I'm glad I didn't buy the T-Shirt I wanted)
I agree resnictem - They Sooooooo improved on everything to do w/ the store .... except for the merchandise

Thanks for the heads-up, Capt-SithPaark. Luckily I was able to purchase all of the CIV art prints that I wanted. But I'm having a little bit tougher time finding suitable frames for the prints, as some of them (such as Dorman's print) are uncommon sizes. I am forced in some cases to buy a much larger frame to accommodate the print, which hurts me twice because I have to spend more money on the larger frames, and the larger frame means less available hanging wall space.

Yes, Malcolm's print had completely sold out by Sunday (which he was hoping for so he could go out and have a look at the exhibits).

Don't know if this is something you'd be interested in but Joann's and Michael's fabric/craft stores do custom framing and there is usually a coupon for 50% off in every other Sunday paper. I'm not sure what their stating prices are though as I've never needed to have something framed. Might be worth looking into though.

Yes JJ, I would go the custom framing route
It will be more in the damage column - than if they were common sizes, but at least the final job will look proper and also, the wall space issue is taken care of
Must be some Custom Framing places in your neck of the woods

Yeah, I thought of the custom framing option. But that could get real expensive real quick, even with the coupons. For the time being, I purchased some mattes to use inside the larger frames to take up some of the wasted space. The art pieces actually look pretty good displayed this way.
Hey Val - I certainly hope you snagged this art beauty at CIV:

As much fun as seeing the various exhibits, participating in the costume contest and getting autographs, what I loved doing at CIV was blowing cash on some great goodies! Here's how it played out for me:
Boba Fett animated maquette (signed by Jeremy Bulloch)
McQuarrie concept R2-D2 and C-3PO
Interactive R2-D2
Amy Pronovost Jawa print
Marc Wolfe Empire propaganda print
Jan Duursema Darth Talon print
John Alvin C4 poster
Adam Hughes Nouveau Leia print
Temuera Morrison (autographed my set of Delta Squad figures)
Shannon McRandle autograph
C4 messenger bag
C4 Pilsner glass
C4 t-shirt
There were so many more things I wanted to pick up (especially the Unleashed figures I missed out on), but there was this necessity called "eating and drinking" I was hearing so much about...

I missed out on the official CIV logo patches. The store didn't have them in stock yet when my wife and I were there at the first QP time slot on Thursday (12pm-3pm). And when we went back there the day after, they were already sold out (at least that's what the clerk at the table told me).
If anybody has an extra CIV logo patch that they are willing to sell, please PM me.

Same for me as well. I was one of the first people at the store.
Have seen few of the patches on eBay.

The patch and pin were 2 things I really wanted and I was unhappy that they sold out before I got there on day 1. What happened to Sansweet saying that there was going to be tons of each item and that nothing would sell out that quick like at CII and CIII? I have heard the patch total was 600 and the pins are most likely around there. That hardly qualifies as a ton. I hate being without something I really wanted, but the going rate on scalpbay is insane!
