Man I see items from badges to the concept action figures of R2 & C3PO selling like hot cakes on eBay.
Last time I saw the Official Program that I bought for $5, going for $80!!!
Any thoughts on this?

Yikes, you'd think folks would look at the stores first to get some of the items for regular price rather than being fleeced on ebay.

I still think the current price of the medallions are ridiculous. I liked them alot. I'm not paying Ebay prices though.

It's the same situation that happened after C3 with the Vader figs. They were commanding big dollar amounts during the weeks after the con. I saw some of them going for close to $75, and they had bids on them.
Fast forward 6 months later, and the same Vader figs were going for less than $25 each.
Heck, SWShop.com has the McDroids figure set for $19.99 right now (they ship out July 11th).
If fans want to use eBay as a method for obtaining the McDroids set and/or Hasbro Luke, just wait a few more months. There will still be plenty of them listed, and the prices will be much more affordable at that time.

I know most of you will think I'm scum for this , but for CIII I pre-sold 4 Vader's on ebay and all four of them went for $75-100. I did use the money to help fund my CIII trip though.

I applaud you Echo 3. If you can put a dollar in your pocket than by all means do it. All of these so called "collectors" out there that think anyone one who sells the items that they collect on Ebay for a profit are scum, need to get a life. I pre sold a ton of stuff and made a nice profit for my CIV trip. You know why??? I'll tell you. Because airfare was $700. Because my hotel was over $1,500, because I paid $250 for the con, over $1,000 in food for 6 days, a fortune for gas, $350 for a rental car, $500 for exclusives, and the main reason I pre sold stuff on Ebay...... because I wanted to, that's why. HAHA!

I sold a few CIV things on ebay after I got home ... I mostly sold the extra give-away stuff I ended up with (card backs, hasbro coins, promo topps card, catalogs, posters, etc.). I started most everything at .99 and everything sold ... I made enough money that my action figures that I bought pretty much didn't cost me anything, it all balanced out.

I also sold some of my freebies and items. I start my auctions at .99 or 1.99 and if someone chooses to continue bidding, why should that make me a scalper or scum? I think it is all in the way you look at it.
