FYI: The Hoff is out! He is no longer in The Producers, he had committments that made him pull out before its final run. However now that he is not in the show I hear tickets are cheap! I think he is doing some "american Idol" type of talent show.
Wandercon? I may have to check that out, too bad they do not have a locals pass.
Elvis weddings are a dime a dozen here. I did attend a Star Wars wedding last summer, it was when Lucas was doing the United States tour thing with Vader, Wicket, and Chewbacca. I was in one of the pictures at Starwars.com, chewie with me in a stranglehold. Ther was a small 501st contigent on hand and alot of Jedi. Most small weddings held at the 30 minute intervals at the small chappels north of the strip are open so anyone can just show up if ther is room.

I found out about the Gothic wedding thinger on the Travel Channel. 
IIRC, there's some deal where you can get a Goth-themed room, complete with a bathtub that fills with red water.
