Justin -- your decorations sound wonderful. And good luck on the Microsoft certification! I'm supposed to try that next year. Maybe. LOL.
Connie -- yep, that's the card. The picture captures it very well, although the shot is kinda dark. This card is very white! It's really neat.
I second the recommendation for the books. Although I'm not happy with the way the fictional side is going, the nonfiction books that are being released are fabulous. Especially Steve's vault book. It's amazing.

Thanks Helen. I will definitely get some pics up here.
Yeah these two Microsoft exams have been my main focus for the past few months. I currently hold MCSE and MCSA certification credentials for Windows 2000, but I need to upgrade my certs to Windows Server 2003 before they expire at the end of March. Now why Microsoft has decided to do this is beyond me, considering that Windows Server 2008 has not yet been released.
Which Microsoft cert are you planning on pursuing?

Good luck with that! I've got a friend who just went through the same thing. He said it was pretty hard but he did it.

Thanks GJ. Yeah I took the first test (70-292) earlier this week and bombed it. I felt fairly confident going into it, but obviously I was mistaken. The good thing is Microsoft gives you a sectional results page that lists each main topic covered on the exam and how you did on questions pertaining to that section. So you can focus your studying on the area that you are weak in.
After 70-292, I have to take 70-296, which supposedly is a little easier than 70-292. Once those two are passed, I will officially be an MCSA and MCSE for Server 2003.
I just want to get them done as soon as possible. With all that 2008 will have in terms of entertainment (movies, The Clone Wars TV show, TFU, tons of SW product, NYC Comic-Con, SW books, etc) I really want to be able to relax and enjoy everything the year has to offer. And to me, I won't be able to fully enjoy it all unless these two exams are finished.
You know the saying - Work first, play second.

Dang, Con.. what's your electric bill going to be like? Very festive. Surprised you don't have a few Snowtroppers camped behind the snowmen. LOL!

LMAO...I would love to do a Star Wars Theme, but I dont have that kinda money...yet a Toy Theme is promising for next year, maybe I could make a couple Stortroopers as nutcrackers and things like that...hmmmm, will have to ponder this.
To give you an idea of my electric bill, does having to run into the basement several times a day to flip the breaker back on count? lol, my usual bill is about $165 for this month, but I put them on late this year, so may be smaller.
The snow is wonderful. It was very cold, but at least now I dont have to put on a coat to open the door and grab the mail. I do love snow, but not the icky gray kind, from the cars running it over and over. But, always love a nice fresh layer this time of year.

Ok, Justin now has me on the hunt for Star Wars ornaments for my tree next year. I was wondering if you (Justin) could send me a list of all the Star Wars ornaments...the new ones are awesome, the ones from Hallmark. Now, my new passion is a Star Wars Christmas, my parents are gonna be peed off...lol. Oh well...lol

Connie -- There are quite a bit of SW-themed ornaments that have been released over the years. There are just too many to compile in one complete list. My wife and I have been collecting various SW ornaments over the years from places such as Target, Wal-Mart, Hallmark, Toys R Us, JC Penney Home Store, and Kohl's. As soon as we see them on the retail shelves during the months of September and October, we snatch them all up as quickly as possible. In addition, websites such as TF.N and Rebelscum have been extremely helpful in making us aware of new items that are about to hit retail stores. Then we know what to keep our eyes peeled for during our numerous excursions.
Here are a few pics of the SW Christmas items that we have displayed in our house:
I also included a few pics of two really cool SW items that we found at Bryant Park in NYC this week. These are one-of-a-kind metal figures that are manufactured purely from machine metal parts. They are super cool.
I hope you all enjoy them as much as we do!
