Saw Iron Man last night - loved it.
But it was a pain in the butt having to tightly close my eyes, plug my ears with my fingers, and hum loudly to myself when the Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight trailers came on.
God I hate movie trailers...

I love em. Nothing gets me more excited (shut up Pwinkie!) more then a good movie trailer. I've seen em all and I don't think it's ruined anything for me.... just makes me look forward to it more.

I remember the days of the 30 second movie trailer. You saw/heard just enough to get you excited about the upcoming film without spoiling any major plot points. Teaser trailers do this perfectly.
These days, we have extended movie trailers that are over 2 minutes long and reveal WAY too much of the film IMO. I saw Darth Maul ignite his double-bladed saber in the Theed hangar in one of the TPM trailers - killed the entire moment for me when that scene came up in the film. I knew it was coming and the surprise of seeing a double-bladed saber for the first time on the big screen was over.
Just give me a little taste of the movie to whet my appetite - don't show me over 2 minutes of footage.

I feel the same way Justin...I absolutely did not want to see a trailer for the Star Wars movies...I too would stick my fingers in my ears and close my eyes tightly, humming "I am an Oscar Mayer Weiner." lol
BUT...I would keep them open, just to hear the 20th Centruy Fox theme and the nice sparkly green Lucasfilm light up....then it was finger time...lol

Three days...and I've already had two spoilers in the last two days. Completely accidental spoilers! But they weren't huge (and I won't share), so I guess there's nothing to worry about.
Purchased my ticket to the midnight showing. Asked everyone I know if they would like to attend, and only one person said yes. lol I guess I'm the only geek I know.
