Yeah, ATA Airlines last week filed for bankruptcy a second time and fired all employees. Today Frontier Airlines just filed for bankruptcy. Who's next? There isn't going to be enough airplanes if this keeps up.

God anythings better than British Airways at the moment,you wouldnt pay me to travel with them,probably my airlines of choice will either be United or Delta(travelled with them many times no trouble whatsoever)

OMG...Did anyone hear about Kenny Baker? I certainly hope he is well. A convention without Kenny would be like a sandwhich without the bread.

Yeah, I guess he is still in hospital.
This is why we can't wait until 2010 for the next convention.... there are others that are as old and/or in ill health as he is. Hard to conceive of a convention without Kenny. Hope it doesn't come to pass.

I felt the same way when I saw Michael Sheard at CIII. Then a few months later he passed away from cancer. I saw that on the internet and just bawled. He played some cool characters in Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I felt the same way when the guy who played Porkins died. He also had a part in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not going to be too many original trilogy actors left here in a few years since Ford and Oz refused to come to star wars conventions.

i hope Kenny will get better.
AA grounded a lot more flights yesterday, i could see it happen to thousands of fans, stuck in an airport in the middle of nowhere with no way to get to the convention. What a mess that would be

That is why I am driving if they choose Indy, Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, or Cincinnati. If they choose any other city then I am staying home and working. LOL!

I am not that desperate to go to a star wars celebration and travel by walking. LOL! Star Wars is great but not that great! I still have to figure out if I can get a week off next year for something like this.
