Any information on the location would be helpful! Has long has the Celebration is not held on memorial day weekend. That is a busy travel weekend.

Might be a little busy but as someone already pointed out, it's also nice having that extra day to plan your trip. I love the idea of it being around Memorial Day so I can squeeze in that day wtihout taking more time off from work. You can plan a 5 day trip by only takeing off 2 days. Pretty sweet.

So, I got one question; there will be a Celebration every year right? So, there is a definite that there will be one in 2009 for ESB?

Beside the Hyatt in Chicago all hotels are a mile and more away
You know the weather in Indy for CIII wasnt the greatest, and i was one of those who didnt bring a sweater and only had Tshirts (yeah, i was a little cold) but looking back, i hardly remember the weather or the long lines outside. It was part of the fun, part of the charm.
I do have to agree that walking inside the center was a little hard but i didnt expect anything different, i didnt get to go to the actual SW store cause of the long line though. I agree that LA seemed to have been picked mainly because of the 30th anniversary.
Justin- maybe you can give him a few suggestions, anything would be great cause we are all pretty much in the dark. Good Luck

No, there isn't one every year. The pattern is every two years. So, we had one in 2007 and we expect the next Celebration in 2009. But we don't know for sure, yet. We've learned that nothing is cast in stone when it comes to convention cities so even dates can be changed easily.

I think that the strongest indicator for a CV would be rumor of who Lucasfilm will get to manage it. That's the rumor that I would look for. Obviously, it won't be GenCon.

It all depends on what happens in court and whether they settle the dispute between them over the charity money. Who knows! I was under the impression that they could not find an organization with enough experience and background to put a celebration on other than Gencon. I could be wrong on that one.
