That's not bad at all really. It could be higher or less depending on how many days you plan on staying at the con location.
Plus, you have a year+ to save up those republic credits.
I stayed a week in LA for CIV (Tuesday to Tuesday) and will be allocating the same amount of time for C5 as well.

Well thats true. It is a big city and it's close to the convention. I shouldnt expect to pay the same that i did for Indy considering that i only spent 3 nights there and i plan on staying at the con longer this time

I am going to have to do some searching on the web and buy a bunch of Chicago maps. I am not good with directions which is going to be bad if I can't find anyone to go with me. Driving in chicago by myself does not seem to be the brightest idea in the world. Better to drive 5 hours than to pay a ticket to fly just from Indy to Chicago. Then again they could choose another location. Nothing is set in stone. Just hoping for Indy! I was hoping with Indy putting it's bid in for the Super Bowl in 2011 and barely losing to Dallas by a 17-15 vote last year might change Lucasfilm mind. At least Indy going to bid for the 2012 Super Bowl. We have the Indy 500 every year and the NCAA Final Four once every 6 years including 2010 and 2016. Not to mention the women's final four in 2011 and 2017.

My transport is already full or you could of ride up with us, if its even in Chicago that is.

Well I hope its in either Indy , Chicago or St.Louis. If its not ,then 90% of our FF wont go. We are full of students or those who wont or cant fly. Im thinking there would only be like four of us going if its in a "Fly" destination. As long as its in the USA , I'll be there!

OUCH!  I'm willing to room with someone like I did last year. I'm even willing to tolerate four or more people crammed into a room. As tiny as it was, we didn't spend much time in it.

WHOA!!!! That place is MASSIVE! I love the look of it. Y'know, CV (maybe) being in Chicago is actually getting me excited. That place is just BEGGING to be filmed!

If you could improve just one aspect of C5 over how it was done/handled for CIV, what would it be?

I'd like to see more actual exhibits. Yeah, it's a hassle to travel all that, but I'd sure like to see something along the lines of last year's exhibition or "Magic of Myth." With more costumes .
