SW.com is going to be celebrating 10 years of TPM and Celebration I all week long.

So here's hoping an official C5 announcement gets thrown in as well!

I'm itching for an announcement too. I also speculated on another board that the end of this week of Epsiode I and Celebration I news could lead to a CV announcement. Let's hope so eh? It would really make my weekend...but not my credit cards!

BTW - we stayed in Embassy Suites at CIII in Indy - what were the best hotels in your opinions and how close were they?

(Personally though I'm still holding out for Orlando, Florida!)

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for C-II and the Crowne Plaza for C-III. Both really nice places. Any of the hotels near the convention center are great. I really don't think you could pick one over the other. As an aside, the Marriott across the street was the "VIP" hotel, where the celebs stayed. That may or may not change.

I stayed at the Omni Severin for C3 but this time if it is Indy i will probably choose the Westin as its less walking because my MS got worse since then now i have to use a walking stick to get around unfortunatly though i will have a stick that goes with my costume!! I am sure that they must have Jedi Knights with disabilities!!

According to someone on another forum, the Indianapolis Convention Center is booked solid through April - May next year, so it could well be held somewhere else now...C'mon Orlando!

There is a gap between 6-23rd May next year,C5 could be fitted in between these dates ?

There's this show 6 - 8th May - Thu May 6 - May 8 2010 500 Festival Mini Marathon Expo 30,196 , but they would need a weekend, and the nearest is Thu 13th - Mon 17th May 2010, which is probably close enough, but I'm still holding out for Florida!

Just FYI, the mini-marathon has always been held during Celebration dates... oh, wait, it's actually the other way 'round 8-).

But in all seriousness, the two events have coexisted quite peacefully in past years -- the marathon doesn't use but a little bit of the convention center, for registration. I can remember watching from my hotel room at the Hyatt as all those runners raced by the convention center -- that was quite a sight.

I was under the impression by several people I know that celebration may be pushed to June to allow for more kids to come on their summer vacation. Esp. now that the Clone Wars is so popular.

Yes, remember the marathon activities well, both didn't seem to cause either a problem

My kids will be attending regardless if they are in school or not...lol.

I am a teacher and I know how important school is, but there are few things that parents can share with their children these day in ages. So, with that being said..."Celebration 5 or bust!"

Keep in mind that "booked solid" doesn't necessarily mean the whole convention center is booked. And what is "booked solid?" I see 4 events for May '10 so far, none of which would conflict with a possible C5. June has 2 events so far. Some of these events are expecting a few hundred people or less. While C5 would require a lot of room that doesn't preclude something else happening at the same time especially in light of Indy's expansion.

Besides, I'm one of those thinking that it will be later than previous celebrations precisely so that they can get more people attending. Making C5 a family vacation (i.e. when school is over) probably makes more economical sense for many potential attendees.
