Star Wars Convention Cardiff December 18

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I saw this article in the South Wales Echo about a Star Wars convention. It will take place at the Mariott hotel in Mill lane, Cardiff. The article should tell you all you need to know (hopefully you can read it):
Looks like it could be well worth popping along, although the wallet could do without it!

I had no idea about this. This could well be a great idea for a meet up.

I called the number today and spoke to the guy organising it. He has actually heard of theforce.net and was very keen for us to attend and advertise it on the site.
I have requested further information and it should be with me in a day or so.
As soon as I get more info on prices, times etc i'll be sure to post it up here.
So, out of interest, how many people will be interested?
Maybe I can get us a group discount.

Will the group discount(if you get it) be available to everyone? I've hardly been the most prolific of posters around and as a result, don't really know anyone here. I'll totally understand if it's for the regulars only.
I will be going along on my own anyway but if I'm welcome to meet up, (and get the discount) so more the better. The problem is, I'm kind of a strange old hermit - if the truth be told and probably won't exactly be the most entertaining of people!

I don't know what the deal is yet on a group discount as I haven't had any info back, but if there is a deal to be struck, i'll be sure to include you.

Well I had the details in the post this morning.
And when I say I had the details, boy did I get the details!
I got around 100 black and white flyers for the convention and one large colour flyer.
I'll type out some of the text that you can't read.
Also Appearing: The UK Garrison featuring Darth Vader, Boba Fett, C3PO, R2D2 and more...
Plus: Thousands of Comics, cards, toys, beanies, sci-fi, film and tv, related items from some of the best dealers in the UK today.
Sunday 18th December
Doors open at 11am for "early birds", 12pm for general public.

Sorry to disapoint but our c3po and r2dr will NOT be there. They never signed up and have been falsly advertised..We will have a Vader and plenty of Stormies plus a Padme  , maybe even a jedi or two...but i wish theyd wouldnt advertise characters that are not going to be there as some kids might want to see them and get really disapointed when theyre not there.
In better news, be good to finally meet some of the names here!

Oh yeah, I forgot you were a member of the dark side.
So R2 and 3PO couldn't make it eh? Thats too bad, never mind the bloody kids, I was looking forward to seeing them! 
But I guess a Padme will make up for it.
I hope we can get a few people there. It's looking good so far.

Not much info im afraid. Think there will be a walk about out around the streets, There might be a photo stand for people to get cool pics with us lot behind a tantive backdrop-( cost of photo is £5 with all money going to charity, or make a donation at least if you just want a pic with one of us...weve raised so much money this year its amazing..but we cant stop there!)
