Are the other Mods from the different movie forums using the CT forum as kind of a test run to see if the 3 strike plan is beneficial? Or is any one just outright opposed to it? What's been the reaction from the other forums?

Muted, actually. It would be worth getting some of the other movie forum mods to chime in here. I posted about this group in MS and asked other movie forum mods to join, but there wasn't much response.
Maybe it would help if regulars from the various forums PMed their mods and asked them to join?

Not too much, though the purist thread was started. Its been moving pretty slowly though.
Oh, and I have something else I'd like to bring up regaurding the forum's canon policies. CT, 3SA, and Saga are the only forums with EU policies in them. And the ones in those forums aren't exactly overly consistant with each other. And the other movie forums don't even have one.
So, if we can ever get the mods in here from TPM, AOTC, NSA, and Misc, perhaps an EU policy could be made for them too. And the ones that already exist could become more consistant.
Just an idea.

Yeah, well I'm sure a Purist forum would attract more people than one thread. But it's just tooooo much to deal with with all the redundency and other issues that would exist.
Plus, why would any Purist in his right mind want to come to a thread where they have no one to argue with?
I would also say that 90% of the Purists don't even know it exists. I'm not about to go advertising it, nor am I going to do what some people have asked me about , which is trying to make it into the opposite of the EUDF. The way I see it is if people find it that's good. Some people I'd never want to find it, so if they don't, that's good also.
At least there has'nt been my worst nightmare, which is just an all out bashers fest. With the exception of you know who and his mighty sock, most people who entered did'nt really harp about the EU.
Perhaps it'll pick up, perhaps it won't. ::shrugs::

Actually yeah, I assume based on what I've learned in this FG that the Mods all are allowed to form their own rules for their respective forums?
I'm not 100% positive if that's correct, but if it is (Mods you can help me here) has there ever been any talk of standardizing the rules throughout all the forums?
Now obviously you would'nt be able to have 100% cohesion as certain forums would require slightly different variations.
But has the topic ever been brought up?

Well, it took me several days to get Sape to make one for 3SA. I think we should each pick a movie mod and try to talk them into making an EU policy for their forum.

Whoa. I forgot all about this forum.
I can tell you this, the mods do have the ability to personalize their forum (make the rules, etc.) and there is no standard form one must follow. I'm not sure if there has been talk of making a standard rule, I'm just a newbie mod!
