That's an understatement. You just kept on posting in that redundant thread we have an Official Thread for. DLM made it official back in Feb/March to cut down on the amounts of threads about it ... like I said, you should read the index. 
Speaking of DLM, it appears as if she is back from her vacation.

Mods have a lot of autonomy in the rules they make for their forums. If anything, the current trend is away from centralization. In the old days, the JC was small enough that most mods visited most boards with at least some frequency, so it was possible for the mods to decide as a group what policies worked best and then enforce them across all boards. Now, it's hardly even feasible for a mod to run one forum singlehandedly, let alone be familiar with all the boards, because of the size of things. That was why the boards became a series of "fiefdoms", as DA calls them, in which each mod was assigned a specific section of the JC.
It's nearly impossible to get all mods to voluntarily agree to enforce a single policy now, unless it's something really obvious (eg. Edit out all pictures of pregnant Padme in the biki- oops. I'm not supposed to share my super-secret mod knowledge of Episode 3 with you guys.) That was why I asked and wheedled for other mods to come here and share thoughts, because I know there's no way we can make them do it otherwise.
So the question is where we should go from here. Do you think it's important enough to have this policy be board-wide that you guys want to continue harassing other mods? (Honestly, I don't care too much because the whole reason this focus group was started was to address a problem fairly unique to CT.) Do we have any other issues to discuss? Is it time for me to thank everyone for their service here and then close the place down?

I suppose I deserved that one.
As for closing this place down, I think we should do what the Lit. board did and keep it open. This way if there is ever something that needs to be addressed it can be brought up in here. Though, perhaps the name of the forum should be changed to reflect that.

The thing is we didn't want this group to become a permanent fixture like the AC was. We wanted to discuss a specific issue, then open the board to read-only access for everyone as soon as the issue was settled. This makes focus groups less elitist than the AC.
Also, I think if other issues come up in the future, we should choose new groups as is appropriate to the situation being discussed.

I do concede that the Lit. group is different than this one, as it was for the forum as a whole and not for a specific issue.
