Where do I want fanfic to be in six months? I would like it to be a place to read and write fanfic, get help from friends, make new friends, and just plain have fun. That’s not been the case lately, and I’d like it to return. It’s going to take an effort by everyone to stop the fighting and keep it from happening again. I also sincerely hope that the next time someone has an issue with fanfic and the way it’s run, they find a mature way to deal with it before it balloons out of control.

I'd like to know exactly what wasn't mature about the way things were dealt with. Mods were PMed directly. Admin was PMed directly over the course of six months. There was no namecalling, only a recounting of actions and facts.
Certainly no one who asked for change in the way moderators comported themselves fell on the floor in a tantrum screaming, "Because I said so!"
Simply because someone does not like the way something was handled does not make it immature.

Don't you think that all internet drama is immature?
I'm not referencing the PMs when I said that... I'm talking about the petition and the threads in Resource. I'll freely admit that BOTH sides went too far many times.

I think a legitimate greivance is a legitimate greivance. What I think shows a lack of maturity is for a person in a position of authority to know he/she made a mistake and not right it.
 Hindsight is 20/20
Ultimately, if certain mods had acted in the best interest of the users they served NONE of this would even need to be discussed or rehashed or thrown about.

obi-ew, she's not referring to making your voice heard. She's referring to the way in which that was done. We ALL went over the line at times. There were immature remarks made by BOTH sides.

- Mature: Worked out fully by the mind; considered
- Immature: Marked by or suggesting a lack of normal maturity
There are very few here who haven't fully considered their posts. Again, just because you don't like what someone has to say does not mean it's immature. In the past I haven't agreed with much you've said but that doesn't mean I think you're acting immaturely.

I thought we were moving past sides? I think everyone here regrets what has come to past. Obi_ew expressed my sentiments best...
