Shweet!  Something told me you might be.... 
And you brought up a great point about the icons that totally escaped me. The closest I can come to putting up a wolf icon is one of Chewbacca, otherwise, my icon would totally be that of a wolf. It can't be that hard to open up the icons option to allow for that.

I have a particular example in mind, but I won't bring it up specifically unless circumstances allow. I'll just say that it's pretty damn easy to distinguish between innocent flirting and harassment.

I have to say it happens so much to me I can't count the number of times or think of anything specifically, but if I do, I'll bring it up. There's a difference between mutual, playful flirting and harassment.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.  We'll be coming in here frequently to do a process check and facilitate a bit. I already see some things that seem to be running items that give us mods a good view of where we may lacking, or where we can improve things. This is exactly what this FG is for. We're not looking to change the rules or totally overhaul the JCC, as it really isn't needed. But it does need something and that's what we were trying to put our finger on by coming to you guys.
Some of you we see a lot, some only in one or two threads. Some registered longer, some newer here. We wanted to see a lot of different perspectives from different walks of the JCC. That's why there are so many of you, to answer a question from the other thread. It was impossible to cut down the list so much when there were so many that we felt represented voices we should have here. And even then, we had to cut it some.
I'll add more as we go along, but I wanted to say thanks for showing up. It means a lot to us and hopefully to your fellow JCCers.
For the tl;dr crowd: Yay! You're here!
As far as sexual harassment, Guy, I think we've gotten clearer on what you're talking about specifically in the mod team, but we can still discuss the sexual innuendo and harassment, or "sexual" topics in general as it's a very valid topic.

3 aspects of the JCC that you believe are good
- Crazy randomness. It is lovely.
- The mods are teh r0xx0rz and I <3 them. I will make ophelia my bride, I swear it.
- It's not too G-rated and not too R-rated; in general, it has a really good balance. (Though I agree with sj, sometimes it goes too far and I wonder why mods don't edit some stuff out.)
3 aspects you personally don't like about it
- Inconsistent modding. This seems so minor compared to how this forum has been in the past, I think it's much better now. But I do think there should be harsher punishment for some things and lesser punishment for others. And it's clear that some mods do significantly more work than others, so there's also inconsistency in that sense. I also don't think it should be so taboo for non-JCC mods to take action when it's clear that someone needs to. Obviously they should defer when the circumstances are questionable, but it seems they're reluctant to do anything.
- I'll agree with the gruesome news threads being annoying, but I don't think that necessarily needs to be any more controlled. It's kind of hard to draw a line around, and if it's just reactions and no discussion, well, that sucks, but oh well.
- Moderators sometimes get away with saying things regular users would get called on.
3 things that just drive you batcrap crazy
- The sexual harassment stuff. (And the "oh, you deserved it" attitude.) I didn't post my picture on the JC for like 3 years because of it. There are uncounted occasions in which people, even mods, have said stuff to me that totally crossed the line--and I have a pretty high tolerance. And I'm not even talking about IM stuff, which can be really disgusting. I know sj knows what I'm talking about. Until recently, I never gave it much thought because it doesn't bother me that much, but I'm beginning to see that it leads to a more general acceptance of wrong behavior and it should definitely be one of the main issues we talk about in this focus group. But let's please not get into the attacks on this complaint's legitimacy here.
- Umm... THAT I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE! Damnit, I guess I kinda like this place.

Rachel, sorry, by "here" I meant the FG in general.
This will serve as a spring boards for things I already see like, sexual innuendo or general raunchiness (harassment could be another topic by itself, too), perceptions or the reality of cliques, mod coverage and how we can be a better part of the community, and news items. That may be breaking it out too much, I don't know. We can think about that.
I think the ideal will be to break out into those discussions and then use those to go forward on how we'll deal with it within the community.

Why don't we use a dedicated thread for that, Oph? I want us to discuss those things, but just like harassment we don't want it to get lost and the discussion get too big. Feel free to start a thread about it, anyone.
On harassment, I think we should definitely discuss it as it's a very valid concern. I'd like to keep it general, though -(i.e. let's not use names or even veiled references to a user). For specific instances about specific users or instances, we absolutely want to know and will address it, but that's something we'd like to be handled via PM.
