This sounds like a fun game, and letting the rest of the board vote is a good idea as it will get more than just the contestants involved. We should have more games like that.

That sounds like a cool game too. I was also thinking of a Scattergories type of game. When 10 people are selected, and someone selects a word, and each contestant has to pm the host with how many words they can get out of the word that the host selects. Only real words count. This can go on for ten rounds and the person with the most words wins.

Hmmm, although the game has potential, I think the fact that most of it will take place by PM will take away some of the fun of it. Why not having participants create words out of the original word in turns?
Player one will start with the word he sees first, the second play then can name a word he sees, then nbr 3, etc. . Eventually you'll run out of words which can be found and there is a winner (or joint winner) of that round. Points can be given for each word or perhaps the number of letters in each word that they discover.

That sounds good. It could lead to some really weird humor.

Hi, guys. For those of you who don't know me, my name's Nat; I'm one of the C&G mods.
A lot of JCC games moved over to C&G about two years ago, and they've done pretty well. We've got a lot of really cool games, most that originated there as well as some old classics, as well as a whole sub-culture of drafts.
One of the things that Tyi and I really like is cross-promotion between C&G and the JCC. LemmingLord's Clue game was really great, though it didn't do too well in JCC the last time. However, the two of us really like games that go back and forth, and a new one might be starting soon.
Also, if the JCC mods reject a game idea because the JCC moves too fast to support it or a current game doesn't get much attention, we're welcome to having it move to C&G or travel. We're always open to more games
And I don't think we'll be moving Mafia back any time soon

We're asking the C&G mods for feedback a lot. I think many of the games that were proposed in the recent JCC thread will flourish better in C&G than in the JCC because of the nature of the forums.

For the record, JCC Idol is going ahead, with myself as host and Brian, harps, and Everton as the judges
I really enjoy games that get the community involved, so hopefully this'll work out.

I've never been good at games here (my record in the MC game speaks for itself ), so naturally I don't see much value in a 'JCC Idol'.

I still fully expect you to honour my request to be a celebrity guest judge.
Of course, the contestants will have to perform some of my songs. I can't wait to hear their rendition of "Ode to Eve"!

Why oh why couldn't Comet be here for this competition. His MySpace actually has a lot of music he's done.
PS, If Tom doesn't win this, there'll be hell to pay.
