	Most of you know malkie; a short, Scottish astromech droid with a propensity to tell fat people they're getting no sympathy from him. He had a great idea for the FG, which I'll get him to introduce: malkieD2 in ModSquad posted: Specifically you could start a version of the Homosexual thread, and perhaps a Bush thread. Similarly I'd suggest starting a social thread of sorts, and possibly some breaking-news type threads to reflect JCC posting. Finally a typically JCC thread of "what's your favourite place to go on vacation" to encourage familiarity between the two groups. The reason for this is pretty simple; it simultaneously highlights the inherent differences between the forums whilst testing if any common ground could be formed. 	In this forum. ES has pushed me into a corner to post in this forum because I'm regular in both the JCC and the senate. I specifically wasn't going to post because I'm no longer a mod in the JCC and I felt this was better left to the people of the moment to work out rather than allow too much outside inference from those meddling kids and their dog (too many cooks etc). If I started to contribute directly then it might result in an influx of Mods giving their 2c and diluting the influence of the FG, which would be a negative thing if you asked me. The purpose of starting some Senate and some JCC-like threads (in this forum) was simply to force both groups of people (including mods) to "play out" the threads you get in each forum to help the other side understand where they are coming from. Hopefully a homosexuality thread will lead to some quality debate (I already know we have people on both sides), and some JCC style threads will allow the senate regs to see the mayhem (for want of a better word) that can occur in the JCC on a daily basis. It's maybe a bad idea, but nothing will be lost by giving it a try. edit besides, I have some pretty strong ideas about where the lines should be drawn, and I don't want my bias to influence the direction and community building that I hope the FG will achieve. -----signature----- HBOF There are only 10 types of people in this world; those who understand binary jokes, and those who don't. Because I am a complete, utter n00b when it comes to YJCC, I would have next to no idea how to make a YJCC thread other than having, "So, ...." in the title. (I kid, I kid.)
