That Anakin is a little too powerful as is. But they are working on that. It's a neat idea, but late game, he is especially powerful with tracking (average power of 9-11, easy). That's why I suggested, if keeping the destiny draw text, knock his power down to 2, so his maximum power would be 9, and that's a 7 drawn.

Welcome to the thread spooky_21. We're in the middle of playtesting revisions with the hope of having a new playtest 2.0 version available after the slew of suggested revisions. If you interested in seeing the current playtest cards check this link. They are in the process of being revised with hopefully a version 2.0 playtest file being available in the not too distant future.

We have been working on 3 separate expansions. Heart of the Republic is the first. It will be followed by Kamino and later Geonosis. We also have the expectation of putting together an enhanced_expanded universe type release as well. Many of your card suggestions appear to be aimed at Geonosis. You'd be surprised to see what we've put together already, I suspect. Regretably I don't have any spoiler text files or playtest files that you could check out for the later expansions at the moment.

I'm picking up on the next "page" of suggested revisions, to get the "minor stuff" out of the way, before tackling the objectives and speeder chase cards.

Though, Hoban and others seem to feel speeder chases are too close to podracing; but I feel we can modify the outcome benefits to make it a little more acceptable.

For example, making speeder chase support cards serve a valuable dual-purpose so people might want to have a couple in their deck even if they're not chasing- which they could then use during a chase if the opponent presents one.

Also, perhaps doing something else besides force/loss/retrieval, like, perhaps, Bounty Hunter deployment or battle bonuses...make it almost act as a support function for the assasisnation objective for the darkside, the trade off being that it's card intensive and creates more Coruscant sites for Padme and Anakin/JP to avoid BH's or assassins with before jumping ship to Naboo. For the lightside, well, I'm still thinking about what they could get.

I like the idea of making the speeder support cards having a universal use. Very good.

I also like the outline of what you want to see with the speeder chases.

For the DS, maybe some thing like "Once per turn, if your BH or Assassin is participating in a battle, for each weapon and/or battle destiny draw, may use 1 Force to draw twice and choose one."

For the LS, I'd like to see something to represent the Jedi cracking down on crime. Maybe something like "All opponent's characters must use +1 Force to deploy, use personal landspeed, and fire a weapon."

BTW- to avoid confusion on cards between Jedi Protector and Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Protector, I'm suggesting we rename the Anakin card to:

This way cards like R2 won't suggest their text targets only the HOTR Anakin.

Looks great!

The only thing I see is the Duracrete Slug. Normal rules would specify that all cards at a collapsed site are lost. We either need to make them immune to collapsing or something... Plus I like them going back into Used pile... maybe:

Habitat: Coruscant sites. Can not be attacked. 'Eats' (suspends) one (LS) and one (DS) at same site (may not fall below zero). If four or more Duracrete Slugs at same interior site at the end of opponent's turn, that site is 'collapsed' (Your slugs are not lost, place 2 in Used Pile)

--Well, I'd make it cancel Scum and Villainy, otherwise, it could easily become broken. Set up Scum (easy to do with V set 5), then this, and all of a sudden, you not only retrieve 2 force for every battle, but at adjacent sites to this 'mark' your bhs and assassins deploy -4. You could easily assemble a very harsh beatdown force for practically nothing.

Duracrete Slug

--still not right, as Shewski as mentioned, they'll be lost anyway. So there needs to be something more, and I still think it should only effect interior sites for getting rid of icons, because we have the Sleen and Nudjes for exterior planet sites. So, here's my new recommended game text;

If four or more Duracrete Slugs at same INTERIOR site at the end of opponent's turn, that site is 'collapsed' (immediately recycle two slugs at site). OR (immediately place two slugs in your Used Pile). -see how much 1 word saves space.

(needs to be a little clearer... 'if from hand, opponent draws that number of cards), otherwise, it'd be you drawing those cards and opponent would be left without a hand.)

I also don't like Shewski's idea of +1 to deploy, fire, and move. You know, you could in part solve some of the problems with the chase by deploying those coruscant locations from outside the game, and their icons don't count towards activation, and when the race is finished, it could go right back out of play. But I still think there's better ways of doing it. Podracing had cards with different uses as well, that doesn't make it any less frustrating or nonfun.

I'm sure we'd love your take Rain... aren't you affilliated with the PC somehow... THere was some guy who posted a survey on how the cards looked with the same user name. Anyways, there was a site, but it got taken down for copyright reasons. The images are there still, but we are hesitant to post them again.
